Madras Corner is a tiny little restaurant with huge potential. The food arrived very quickly after ordering and all together. It was served hot (in terms of temp, not spicy), and everything tasted delicous. It also included one of the best lamb korma's I have had in a long time.

The young waiter was very polite and friendly, and deserved 5stars for his attitude and smile 😃 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The establishment could do with a little renovation, including the rear outside ablutions. Also, some minor additions of a new closer for the front entrance and some soft gliding felt for chairs and tables. I would not recommend dining in for those with sensitive hearing, as the small confined area exacerbates the screeching and banging.

Some things to note..

• There is a time limit set to tables. Unaware of this when booking, I was advised not long after the main meal arrived I had 15min remaining. This then placed a sense of rush to the evening, and we felt compelled to ask for take away containers.

• Probably to be expected in this climate, but there is also a charge for take away containers. Bring your own 😁

ALL UP!!! The Madras Corner menu was very delightful and I will definitely return to try more dishes. I have been told their Dosa is amazing, and it was looking pretty nice when it came out. Though, I will probably order take away until the restaurant area has...

great restaurant, we had to come and wait for opening time at 4:50 because we’ve heard of how busy it can get. when it opened, we ordered the masala dosa. it had plenty of potatoes and a very nice kick to it. the vadas were very hot and crispy and it was huge! the coconut chutney was good, but the other condiment was even better (dont know what its called) the lentil soup was steaming hot and delicious with nice lentils inside. the tikka masala chicken was also delicious with a nice kick of spices. it was even better with rice. the paratha was soft but crispy on the edges, it was chewy, but also melts in your mouth. absolutely delicious with the tikka masala. the service was nice, they gave us A LOT of rice with little chives on top. looked very nice and the rice was cooked perfect. a bit hot and stuffy inside, but it could be because the masala dosa potato was starting to kick in🥲 the karaikudi chicken was okay, it was a tad bit salty, but with rice it was better! definitely get rice if you are going to order tikka masala or the karaikudi chicken, they are salty. overall, amazing experience, my favourite dish was definitely masala dosa, the vadas were AMAZING!! definitely coming again, but maybe trying...

Madras Corner is a hidden gem for South Indian food in Perth. If you're craving authentic flavors that transport you straight to India, this place won’t disappoint.

We started with the Mysore Masala Dosa and Medu Vada, and wow—both were absolutely spot on! The dosa was crisp and perfectly spiced, while the vada had that ideal balance of crunch on the outside and softness inside. One bite, and it instantly brought back memories of home.

For mains, we tried the Lamb Rogan Josh, which was rich, aromatic, and packed with flavor, and the Chicken 65, which had just the right amount of spice and crunch. The Kerala Porota was flaky, soft, and the perfect accompaniment to soak up all those delicious curries.

Service was another highlight. The staff was incredibly polite, and the food came out impressively fast—always a big plus!

If there’s one area that could use some improvement, it’s the ambiance. The place has more of a budget cafeteria feel, which doesn’t quite match the quality of the food. A little sprucing up would make the dining experience even better.

That said, if you're looking for genuinely delicious South Indian food in Perth, Madras Corner is well...

I usually enjoy karaikudi chicken and tosai at Madras Corner. Once, during a visit, I found the tosai too sour, which I couldn’t tolerate due to my sensitivity to sourness. This time, while placing my order, I mentioned, “Hope the tosai isn’t too sour.” The chef overheard and thoughtfully made a small sample tosai for me to try before proceeding with my order. I was absolutely mesmerized by this gesture! Madras Corner doesn’t just serve food for the sake of business—they truly care about providing the best experience for their customers. I highly recommend this restaurant. Don’t miss trying the karaikudi chicken with tosai or idli! This is NOT a paid review—just my honest opinion. On the other hand, my experience with A2B was disappointing. They seem focused only on serving food quickly and making money. The food is very expensive. Even asking for extra chutney or sambar comes with a charge. It’s a stark contrast to the warm and thoughtful service at Madras Corner.

Madras Corner is an established Indian restaurant that I visited recently. While the concept of prepaying for food and table service is appreciated, I found certain aspects that could be improved. The Green Chutney accompanying the Pakora was satisfactory, however, the red and white chutneys served with the Uttappam lacked the desired depth of flavor. The tanginess of the Lasooni Gobi (Manchurian) was a bit overpowering for my taste. Furthermore, there were some minor inconveniences such as the lack of caps on the chair legs causing a shrill noise on the floor, which I believe could be addressed to enhance the dining experience. Additionally, the unique practice of charging for takeaway boxes deserves consideration for better alignment with customer expectations. Overall, Madras Corner has potential, and with attention to refining the flavors of their offerings and addressing the mentioned concerns, they could further elevate the dining experience for their patrons.
