Mullaloo Fish Bar — Restaurant in Western Australia

Fairly certain that the good reviews for this fish & chip shop were meant for the one under the Mullaloo Beach Hotel, theirs are excellent but expensive.

Ordered 2 red spot emperor & requested it grilled. It was awful...we threw the 2 pieces in the bin.

I called to advise the owner & he confirmed that it had been frozen & defrosted overnight. It was coated in flour!!!! Definitely wasn’t grilled, more like fried & even burnt a little.

I was polite & asked for a refund as the 2 pieces were $22, he offered to recook it without the flour or a credit. I politely declined & said I’d prefer the refund. He said no... I said ok I’ll post a review, this didn’t bother him or rather he didn’t seem to understand that it would be harmful to...

We had a 90th birthday party for my father in law last night and all he wanted to celebrate his day was fish and chips. Which he got..and so did the other 30+ people we had over to enjoy with him. Massive order and I want to thank the staff and owner of Mullaloo Fish Bar for providing us with an absolute great feed. Chips were crispy and golden and soooo many ..the fish was thick, tasty and really big portion sizes.. Mullaloo Fish Bar catered to our guests perfectly and everyone loved our evening of "fish n chips with grandad". It was our only food on offer ( besides desserts ) and they did not disappoint. Thanks...

We went on good Friday the busiest day of the year and were very happy with the service and the food quality. You can pre-order online and then pick up with is convenient. Chips are large portions and are cooked in oil that is pleasant tasting, fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Fish were big portions, we got some battered and some grilled - all lovely white flakey fresh fish. Calamari and onion rings were also great. No chewy bits in the calamari. Can't recommend...
