The food and atmosphere itself is ok: it's not bad but nothing special.

The service is not good. We ordered loh bak, mongolian beef, roast pork kailan, garlic fish fillet, rice, teh C, and coffee. Out of those 7, only 3 came to our table and met out bare minimum expectation (loh bak, rice and coffee), 1 came questionable (the garlic fish fillet option on the menu did not state that it came mostly as a veggie dish), and 3 came wrong (the 'mongolian beef' was really satay beef, the 'roast pork kailan' was just the garlic kailan, and the 'teh c' came as teh o. By the time we got all our food, we already asked the service staff about the wrong kailan and teh order and she seemed a bit annoyed at us so we just accepted that atleast they got the 'beef' part of mongolian beef right. Also, i hadn't tried teh c prior to this but it googled it and apparently it's tea with evap milk so i was expecting the teh c to be a bit sweet. The 'corrected' teh c was not even a little bit sweet.

There was a few A4 posters about thanking the customers for patience due to them being understaffed and a notice that they need dining room attendants so its evident that the service staff is just tired BUT that should just slow the service down not them giving us wrong dishes.

In conclusion, we might as well just have the service staff order for us since they just served what they wanted to serve us instead of what we ordered.

Sad thing about this is I've eaten here a couple of times before and the service wasn't this bad. Food was the same, nothing to write home about but the...

Ever since the original owner “Cindy” left the service has been atrocious. If you're not a a usual customer you get treated like you’re not even there. There are usually 2 night time wait staff 1 women and one younger lady. Usually Malaysian restaurants are welcoming and serve people with a good ethic. These 2 wait staff lack in any sort of respect and have no remorse, you ask politely about certain things on the menu or even when u walk in they glare at you like you owe them something. I could honestly admit the younger lady waitstaff is the worst service I’ve ever gotten from a Malaysian restaurant. She purposely ignores you and answers questions with no respect. As a genuine customer at this restaurant asking basic simple questions to the younger waitstaff about certain items on the menu such as what is recommended she answered “what ever you think is good, get it.” Furthermore, when serving the dishes we have ordered she slams the dishes in front of you and walks away rudely and super fast

the younger lady waitstaff should learn adequate proper service to each and every single customer.

I usually don’t write reviews but this is honestly the worst service I have gotten from any Malaysian restaurant in Perth and should imprinted on this business as a learning direction to improve their...

20250713 I have been here before some years back. I suspect the ownership or chef has changed. The service was friendly enough - we didn't have a booking but they fitted us in at a large reserved table on the proviso we could be out before the hour was up. When a smaller table was later vacated, they were happy for us to move so we could linger, snd linger we did as old friends fo over a hot soupy dish.

I had the curry lsksa but on first impression, I felt it wasn't a Malaysian who cooked it. See my pic. It's one of those with added curry powder, I suspect, as the curry was not well blended into the soup. It was low in chicken pieces, maybe 3 small pieces, and mainly soup and noodles with sliced fish caked, one taufu pok, egg. I didn't drink the soup.

My friend's fish wings with milky soup had small wings compared to other places. It's not one I drooled over nor one I'll crave to order should I return.

The positive is that we could linger past 9 and not many places open till late these days with customers still happily chatting away. The toilet is at the back so is a walk out in the cold which is not as conducive to chinwagging any later than the bladder permits anyway.

Woke up thirsty with near low-grade headache which usually means the...

Had their Char Kway Teow and Nasi Lemak for lunch today. Ordered CKT with no chilli but was served one fried with chilli. When I ordered Nasi Lemak, I was asked if I wanted it served with fried chicken or curry chicken. I opted for curry chicken. But I was served one with fried chicken. When I told the server I ordered curry chicken, she said they ran out of that. So they simply gave me fried chicken instead. I wasn't even asked if I'd like fried chicken or if I prefer to change my order. So they got my both my orders wrong without any apology. This aside, the CKT was sub standard. There was no wok hei, an important element in CKT. It was nothing close to Penang or Singapore's CKT. Also, it wasn't tasty at all. The coconut rice was the only thing that stood out. It was fluffy and fragrant. The fried chicken was a little on the dry side. There was nothing ikan bilis. Was given 3 small pieces of over-fried potato. And the all important Nasi Lemak chilli sauce was bland! No taste of sweet or salty. Overall, the portions were small and I would not recommend these 2 dishes.

Great Malaysian food and nice ambience. Has a rustic and typical Southeast Asian shophouse vibe. Have a taste of Malaysian food. Come here prepared with cash though as card payments have a small EFTPOS fee. One huge problem I faced was deciding what dish to order from the myriad of choices. One suggestion would be to sell food with an option of a smaller portion so people can order multiple items to satisfy their cravings. Nasi lemak was good and curry was amazing(might be a little spicy for non spice eaters). Cendol was beautifully made although would've appreciated it if it was slightly less sweet. Char Kuey teow was good and has a good amount of wok hei. Yee Mian crispy fried noodles were amazing, unique crunchy and saucy gravy that I've come to love so much. Overall not too bad, coming here almost every other week trying the various food options hence the variety( don't even try to order one of each, they are way to filling to possibly finish more than one) This place never fails to disappoint.
