My mum wasn't able to finish a whole meal herself so we only ordered 2 menu items to share amongst 3 people. We ordered - Chilli Scrambled Eggs on Croissant and Espressoul Signature Toastie Pork Floss with Sweet Potato Chips. Both items had chef hat icons as recommended.
My mum requested the Rock Sugar Chrysanthemum & Honey to be not to sweet, unfortunately it was already pre-made but the attendant provided extra hot water in a small jar on the side to dilute the sweetness as an alternative which was considerate of her.
As a child, I would have pork floss in white bread on its own but this took it to the next level with the savoury of the creamy egg and vegetables (cucumber, tomato and lettuce). The sweet potato was light in crispy texture on the outside, fluffy on the in and very lightly seasoned with salt. Food was not the worst, but for what you pay, you'd expect something a little better or a slightly bigger portion. The comparison is just in reference to other nearby cafes such as Tribute.
I got the Lo Bah Png Bento and my family got the Deluxe Brekkie and the Cauliflower Volcano and Mushrooms. I had the Bento, and honestly, I don't think the extra $7 for the Bento is worth it. You get an extra 5 pieces of popcorn chicken, when you could get another drink or something essentially.
Service was quite poor. We waited for 30 minutes, followed up, then waited another 15 before we got our food. Some of the staff were quite out of it as well, but the main concern is the wait time and lack of communication or clarity with our food. Even after following up on our food, they seemed to have forgot our order and had to ask more than once.
All in all, I think if waiting times improve, this would be bumped up but I think there's just a lot more better alternatives nearby...
