The food is pretty good. As good as most I’ve tried recently nearby. No real complaints and good authentic flavours. The atmosphere is also okay. But we were disappointed with the service. I do accept that it was a very busy Saturday evening, but the service was not good. I expect the excuse would be that the staff are young, but if trained properly they can still learn how to provide good service. There were five of us and we were directed to a four person table, but they did not come and add the plates and cutlery for the fifth person until just before the food arrived and we had to ask. They did not bring an additional glass for the table water. We waited ages for someone to come by and ask if we wanted a drink before we ordered. They only brought four menus even though it was obvious there were five of us. As they were clearing glasses they took my glass of white wine even though it was clear there was still wine in the glass. They took the order for the table next to us, before us, even though the other table arrived after us. We waited probably well over an hour, close to an hour and a half for our meal - but granted it was busy. But again, no staff came back to ask if we wanted to order popadums or starters while waiting for our meal. No one came back to ask if we wanted to order more drinks. No one stopped by, when passing which they did fairly frequently, to ask if everything is okay. I noticed a lot of young staff gathering around the bar and kitchen area as if waiting to just receive and deliver food to the tables, and yet not one of them thought to be proactive and visit tables to see if guests needed anything. Young staff is not an excuse. Very disappointed in the poor standard of service. Will find somewhere else next time - perhaps a smaller restaurant. Too many tables here and probably too many for staff to cope- if I’m...
Read moreFrom the moment I walked the doors of this beautiful restaurant, I was transported to a gastronomic Paradise. It exceeded my expectations. The ambiance is elegant and warm. The beautiful lighting and a sea side view was a mesmerising experience for me and my friends. Now, let's talk drinks and food; They have wonderful list of cocktails and bar complementing the food. My hearty thanks to the chef and restaurant's owner for creating such a delicious menu. The service ladies were polite and smiling through the service. We were served with complementary papads which we enjoyed through our drinks and chats. For drinks me and my friends had pina colada, whisky and a beer From appetizers to the dessert, it was simply delicious. We tried pani-puri, lamb seek kebabs, panner chilly Milly, chicken korma (which the chef was generous enough to make it medium spicy for us), adraki aloo ghobhi, raita, salad, naan, basmati rice, Gulab jamun and carrot halwa. I would love to recommend all of these as I can't find any fault in any of the dishes. I am a picky eater and I try various indian restaurants. I travelled an hour from south of the river to try out this restaurant and I am happy to say that I wasn't disappointed.😊 Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply seeking a memorable dining experience, Sea Spice is the right choice. The paneer sabji was nice & spicy perfectly seasoned, showcasing the culinary mastery of the chefs. The bhindi sabji had just the right amount of crunch and was cooked to perfection. The biryani, a true highlight, was fragrant and full of rich flavors that left a lasting impression.
