I wouldn't recommend this venue. The food was ok. And there is a play area for the kids nearby the beer garden tables which was also really good as we could relax mostly and the kids were nearby. We ordered ribs, Angus burger, chips, roast potato chorizo and a cider. The cider was nice and we received it at the time of ordering. The reason why we wouldn't return is the time It took to receive our orders: 1hr40min for my order to arrive, family who ordered at the same time waited 2hours. We enquired at around the 1hour mark of where our order was and they said they were unable to locate it. If this is the case I suggest they invest in better POS equipment to help manage the orders.

The chips weren't beer battered as the menu said and there something else was missing from the roast potatoes - chives I think? The ribs were nice, the burger was average. After complaining they offered apology and some wine for the wait to my sister-in-law (who is visibly pregnant (though I guess you can't assume) which she declined) some of our order was refunded and they also offered vouchers which we also declined. While lining up to enquire about mini golf another customer was there getting a refund. They claimed they had been waiting 2hrs for their food. The staff offered no apology for...

Really disappointing visit to this venue.

We came for a family birthday on Sunday the 10th, perfect weather for it and the place was fairly busy, but it wasn’t too crowded.

The venue itself, at least outside, is really nice. There’s some good areas for the kids, enough shade to survive the heat and there’s views of the river which is pretty nice.

The food though was a genuine disaster. It took over 45 minutes to get the first dish out, and then food arrived intermittently from there one. Kids meals, (burger / nuggets), arrived about ten minutes apart which is never ideal. One of the salads took almost an hour to arrive, and the other took well over an hour. The wait staff were indifferent when the missing salad was highlighted, and then still took another 15 minutes to get it out of the kitchen. Well over an hour for a pretty basic salad is never acceptable.

The taste was as bland as bland could be - very little seasoning or flavour was detected. Sadly, the salad that took so long to arrive was barely eaten, it just wasn’t worth the wait.

If you’re going for a drink and to get the kids to burn off some energy, I would recommend the venue…just maybe consider somewhere else for lunch. Not worth the...

I’m honestly super disappointed as this place had great reviews but my experience was far from it. I went to lunch today with my mum. The venue is beautiful a little run down but great for families. To start with I ordered two drinks- the ginger beer was great however the coke was poured from a 2l bottle which was flat. We then ordered the tasting plate for entree and two mains. All food came out at the same time which was disappointing- I questioned the staff about it and all I got was “oh”. Food wasn’t too bad but unfortunately the space was full of midges being close to the water which was a little off putting. The waiters were nice but not overly friendly or talkative but they all had close to 0 experience. The staff held food and walked up and down tables asking each table what their number was as they had no idea where to bring the food, when placing down food they leant over myself and my mum instead of coming in from the other side, was given one set of cutlery and to top it off I paid for sauce and didn’t receive it until I asked. Nice venue for kids and has a lot of potential but staff...

Such a conflicting review. This venue has so much to offer but needs a lot of help, it’s tired and dated. The gardens need to be tidied up. I felt like the two managers on duty brought this place recently with absolutely no knowledge or experience about hospitality. The desire to be good is there but the execution is missing. There was not enough staff on duty to clear tables and serve food. It’s all QR code which currently does not work and order at the bar. This is difficult as there is an obvious language barrier. The pizza and chips were superb. I asked for pepperoni to be added to the pizza which I was told would be $5. 100% got $5 worth of extra pepperoni, it was amazing. The satay chicken was ok. I think the sauce saw the peanut, it was a commercial bottled sauce but chicken was good. I was a bit indignant paying $8 for a lemon, lime bitters. Would I go back? Not in a hurry.

We booked a table for a family members birthday. We found the lunch quite disappointing. The avocado salad was mostly fennel and served cold, which wasn’t as described. The chicken seemed to be rotisserie style rather than freshly prepared. The satay chicken sauce tasted more like mayonnaise mixed with peanuts, rather than a proper satay sauce. My daughter’s nuggets were dry and burnt. The “petit pastries” were described as homemade and delicious pastry treats, but they turned out to be standard Coles danishes (cinnamon, apple, and blueberry). At $100, this felt like an excessive mark-up—around 400% higher than the retail cost of Coles. Overall, the food did not meet expectations either in quality or value for money.

Mixed opinion on this place, good and bad things. Let's start with the Good: Beer choices are decent, Location on the river is exceptional with great views. Mad cow Pizza not bad. Now the Bad: Service was pretty average, considering there was only 3 small groups on a Thursday to serve, our food still took 45 mims to come out. Bar service was very bad, I stood around for 5 -10 mins waiting to be served then eventually gave up. The food : Squid was over cooked and rather a small serving for a $24 main dish. The Pizza was ok. A little stingy on the toppings but cooked well. When the cutlery came out it hadn't been washed. All in all I probably will come back in summer and hopefully they will have more staff on.
