First a huge shout out to Ashlee. Top notch service. Greta service like that is hard to come by these days and she nailed!! This was our first time going to the Duke after I heard another lady singing praises about the food at the hairdresser. The food was amazing and there is something on the menu for everyone. We will definitely be going back to try more on the menu. The pecking duck was shredded finely just the way I like it. It was a little bit on the dry size but there was enough sauce to rectify this. The pizza was loaded with toppings and the base was cooked perfectly. We ordered a side of onion rings which I also find can be a bit hit and miss but they were proper onion rings and also cooked to a nice golden crunch. I was a little disappointed cause they were supposed to be served with curry aioli and I couldn’t taste any curry but I do love the idea and will try to recreate this at home. Highly recommend the Duke. We will be returning for the quiz nights in the future.

Three of us dropped in for a mid-week lunch - they've gone all out for 'Christmas in july' with decorations & a dedicated Xmas special menu for those who want it. It has a great feel; despite being pretty quiet at the time it still felt cosy. It strikes that balance between warm/cosy & open/fresh perfectly. The food was great & came out in good time (not too fast or slow), again striking that balance of decent pub meals with some flare. They were understaffed (like so many businesses currently are) - we waited quite a while at the counter before we were even acknowledged let alone seated, however this was the only time we had to wait. The solitary woman doing almost all of the floor/bar work was very friendly & efficient. I'll definitely be back!

Solid 4 The Duke is a fine restaurant it just isnt anything specail. Nothing was particularly bad so didnt want to go 3 stars or less. Our meals were ok I got the Tuesday special which is there parmis, they reminded me alot of the shniztels you get from coles but sure its not. My wife got the schnitzel with mushroom sauce, she said it was alright but the sauce itself is super runny and not creamy as she was expecting. The kids meals are sufficient and funnily a bigger portion size than the Parmi Specials which was a little surprising. The service was ok a few stuff ups but we got there in the end. Overall the Duke is a good spot to drop in for a weeknight meal, not somewhere for parties or celebrations IMHO.

Went there for my daughters birthday with both my daughters and my finance. They send out the wrong meal for my daughter whos birthday it is, we ask for the correct meal as thats what she wanted. Mistakes happen, i get that. We are told that it was just the wrong tables order given to us and ours is in the kitchen. Twenty five minutes later the correct meal comes out. So clearly a lie, added on by the fact that the waitress had said that she had "yelled at the kitchen staff" to hurry up. She had trainee on her badge, theres no chef anywhere accepting being apparently yelled at by a trainee, especially considering she made the mistake. By this stage my meal was inedible. Waited for my kids to finish, we go to pay she asks if everything was ok, clearly she was trying to be sarcastic/thinking shes funny/ trying to take the mick, im not sure but then proceeds to charge me for my meal that was sent back. As i said mistakes happen but to be lied to by the waitress and the manager think its acceptable that this happens and then treat us like that, its quite disgusting. They seemed to be more preoccupied by flirting with a drunk scottish lad than actually...

Used to be my regular before I moved to the city. Still come here occasionally when I catch up with my dad.

Went there on Wednesday for steak night and there’s some new female server who should not be there. We had 3 beers, were drinking with others who had had 6+ and we got cut off?

She doesn’t understand her job, and you need to look at her before you lose patrons. I have heard a few stories about it recently, whether it’s her or not.

Update from the next week: the same woman who needs to remove the stick from her nether regions cut a mate off after 2 beers this time. She was rude to me after, and the duty manager… LOL if you can call him that. Pathetic man who got butt hurt when we said we’re going to another pub for better treatment. Even under refunded our friend $10 when he ordered the T-bone.

This place has gone DOWNHILL, been coming here since the opened but now because of some sensitive bar maid, you’ve lost business from multiple people. Will also be spreading the word. You’re a pathetic...
