I was a fairly new customer here and only started shopping here maybe two months ago. The service was great until today, I had previously asked when I product would be back in stock and was offered the service of leaving my name, number and quantity I would like so it could be ordered in and placed aside for me as I don’t live close and can only come once a week. As my kids loved this product I was delighted this was an option as it would assure I don’t miss out as I find some things go pretty quick in the store and are rarely available on the day I can come in due to work. Two weeks after I left my order with a lady at the front desk I found one of the items on the shelf and asked if it was available and set aside as I didn’t receive a call, I was told to quickly grab it as no one put it aside for me and they were all left on the shelf to be sold. I was a little disappointed but things happen and it was missed so it was fine. Another week later I come in (today) and asked if the second item had finally arrived, a gentlemen went out the back to check for me and then another lady came back to inform me that the delivery had just arrived and was being unloaded, I waited patiently and told her I’d grab the four I had put my name down for only to be met with a rude tone saying I’m not allowed four I can only have two? I told her I was offered the ability to put my name down and have four ordered in and stated I didn’t live close, when I told her my location she replied in a condescending tone that “she travels there at least 3 times a week” and then laughed, I found this quite rude. I have been traveling 35 mins out of my way to come and support a small family owned business rather then going 5mins down the street to basils, Coles and farmer jacks, I don’t understand why you’d offer this service to customers and then refuse to honor it and be rude? If it was a stock issue and you didn’t have enough then a simple sorry we can’t fulfil the full order would of sufficed rather then being rude and condescending to customers who want to support...
Read moreI don't know why I havn't written a review earlier! This business is sooooo fab! Its a highlight to my week having their food come to my home. The store name really is the little big store- with everything you need plus more in it. Ive been shopping here for a while and just love it. All of the staff are friggen delightful, food is ALWAYS fresh (I do their weekly delivery boxes). I was afraid of the boxes for a while as i'm so picky but honeslty the boxes are superb. I think everyone that knows me hears me talk about this place at some point, i can't reccommended it enough. I feel so good eating organic, health is so high up on my priority list and having great quality food from local farmers is important with how the world is going. I'm very much about 'supporting your local' and getting the best quality. This IS the place. If you're thinking about it converting from the conventional shopping - just do it, you wont...
Read moreThe Little Big Store may not be very big, but it figures big in my weekly shopping for a very good reason. Most of the produce is local, and in season, so that the proprietors can get to know the vendors personally. So many eggs are sold falsely as free range. But when you have a buyer walking through your farm it is difficult to hide the truth if your hens are in cages. Pasture fed eggs sold by the Little Big Store are emphatically pasture fed. It can be inconvenient at times to have no apples or other fruit when you want them. You just must learn to eat fruit in season – it tastes best then and is best for your health. The food may be three times as expensive as in other market stalls, but supermarket food is also three times as expensive. That means that you are getting good food for about the same price as...
