Top One Hong Kong BBQ House — Restaurant in Western Australia

A nice little restaurant located in the heart of Coolbellup, inside of the southern shopping mall. Don't be confused when arriving to the address location and not seeing the restaurant on the outside perimeter as you won't be able to find it without stepping foot inside of the complex.

The dishes are Authentic Hong Kong style, so don't get confused when comparing it with Malaysian or Chinese as there are some differences, especially in the fried rice (didn't realise there was a difference until I ordered fried rice with no egg, and only ended up with rice. This happened at another HK restaurant). They have a vast menu of items to choose from and the ingredients used are great quality and the meats have their own flavour to them, making this restaurant one of the best Hong Kong styles south of the river.

The staff are very attentive to the customers, so you won't feel forgotten, but be mindful that if you are planning on dining in with a large group, i.e. greater than 3-4, please contact them in advance because there isn't a huge range of seating available, but they can reserve a spot if needed.

If you aren't keen on dining in but live in the area, they also have the home delivery service, which I believe is Ubereats, or there is the traditional call ahead and take-away.

My partner and I have been here multiple times already and tried many of their dishes to date and enjoyed it each time. There is a good balance in the quantity, and the quality can't be faulted.

Woah!!! This is the last place you would expect to have better than restaurant quality BBQ roast in a derelict dive of a shopping complex; so, don’t be fooled by the humble setting - Coolbellup you bloody lucky ducks, no need to go to Northbridge or Booragoon! I came here for the already great reviews and was blown away by the service and quality of produce. This place is a real treat for anyone who just likes good food or even for the connoisseur of Chinese/ Hong Kong or Malay cooking - the Laksa was yum, large and generous, the Kuey-teow mmmm oh so tasty and the BBQ meats - yes, probably the BEST I have had in Perth / this included the duck, cha sui pork and crispy roast duck, amazing!!! All fresh, juicy, tender and melt in the mouth. Take your mum, get past the decor and indulge yourself in a real culinary delight, you will NOT be disappointed. This chef has probably worked in 5 star restaurants before and taken to less salubrious surrounds. My hot tip, if you need more staff due to your horrendous understaffing and constant demand for your food, sell the idea of learning top notch Chinese cuisine to Cheffing students at your bespoke eatery, learn with the best professionals in a low stress environment to master the essentials of Chinese cuisine.
