It breaks my heart to give so few stars for such a beautiful location. However I had an extremely poor experience with the middle aged gentleman being apparently the manager despite his relatively neglected presentation. He was seemingly annoyed to see me working on my laptop at a table while consuming my coffee and muffin as I was waiting for my family to visit the museum. He eventually harshly asked me to leave as I was occupying a table for just over 60min. We obviously decided not to have lunch here with the family after they finished visiting the museum. As much as I understand the need for allowing new patrons to find a seat, the way this person approaches customers give the feeling of being supervised by the janitor of a school refectory.

Had lunch here after a visit to the whaling station. They had a sign to say that they were short staffed so wait times might be a bit long, but we only waited 20 or so minutes for food to arrive. I had a Morrocan pumpkin salad which was just ok. Partner had the soup special which was potato, leek and bacon and she liked it, apart from the anaemic toast that accompanied it (let’s call it warm bread). MIL had the shark and chips. They tasted nice but small portion of shark. The view was nice and it was reasonably busy for mid week. Coffee was nice.

We stopped by Whalers Galley Cafe for coffee and a light, quick lunch during our visit to the Whaling Station. While we’re not sure if the prices are reasonable for the area, they didn’t quite match the quality of what we received. The coffee was weak and watery, and the sandwich was only partially warmed up, still cold in some parts. This cafe is best suited for those looking for a quick bite while exploring the Whaling Station, with the main highlight being the view rather than the food.

Approximately around 2.45 we entered the Whaling Station attraction To be met by a staff member on the floor super gluing her shoe the conversation between her offsides was more focused on the show than customer service After the amazing walk around and tour of the station we arrived back at the cafe We Ordered a OAT flat white due to allergies and a caramel flat white Only to be told which was mine as we walked out I had a mouthful to my surprise full cream milk my allergy 🤦🏽‍♀️ I returned to the counter where I spoke to the two females working one blonde long hair that took out order after ignoring us while she fixed the post cards up for sometime then served us The the dark haired young female that made the coffee pulled the order and stayed to me this is what you ordered ( she was not present when we ordered ) A flat white and a latte I expressed by concern as I drank the full cream milk This was her reply Well j can put caramel in the flat white and you can stir it I'll mall an oat flat white but that is not what you...

Had a really bad experience here , the old man who is the manager here is so RUDE don’t know how to talk to customers it leaves a very bad taste in a beautiful place. Me and my kids were sited by the staff and I was waiting for my husband to come in after he park the car. He sign in twice at two entrance as he walk in to our table old man was so RUDE to him because he didn’t wait to be sited even though we already at the restaurant sitting down, and calling him a random without finding out. People like this should not be in these places. The food wise three crumb prawns and chips for $16.00 WHAT A RIPOFF I have already logged a official complaint through the gift shop. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE to anyone. Please take a picnic or a bbq pack their is beautiful beach down there you can have your...
