This used to be a favourite spot of mine i think it may have changed ownership. Food portions are now smaller, prices are now higher and the friendly staff have been replaced with staff who just do what they need to.

The Crispy Fried ( fake ) chicken used to be an every visit order for my starter, you would get a plate full with dipping sauce now its well terrible i have attached a photo of the exact way it cane from the kitchen still on the serving tray ( pieces are smaller, drier, no dipping sauce and lets just not mention the garnish.

Mains were somewhat ok however did not taste as fresh as usual possibly because they are now served in disposable single use paper cups. Also when you order something that shows bok choy you don't expect a broccoli substitute it's a completely different flavour.

Drinks were way below the standard they used to be aswell and at $8 a cup of iced tea i expected way more.

$20 per cup of main. $11or14 per appalling Crispy Chicken starter. $8 per drink

Ended up being around $70.

After many years of returning to this place i unfortunately don't think i will eat...

Unfortunately the end of an era. Me and my partner have been coming to the Nan Tien Temple, specifically the Dew Drop Inn Tea House, for years. The beautiful landscapes, delicate scenery, and peaceful atmosphere is definately worth a visit here with family and friends. However, this place wouldnt be worth visiting if it wasnt for the gorgeous traditional food to accompany it. And as of today, me and my partner will not be returning to the Dew Drop Inn as the food has gone downhill severly. Hearing there was new ownership/staff/management, we decided to try the new menu, and were completely let down. The menu itself has been shortened, the prices INCREASED, half of the favourite staple items have been removed and replaced with cheaper versions, and overall its a depressing display of new management. We wont be returning for the food again, which is a real shame, because the food really brought this...

Went here on Friday for a catch up with some past work colleagues. I did not realise it was an all-vegetarian food menu. Anyhow, it was not the end of the world since I like food and will try anything once. I ordered a trio of appetizers. Deep Fried Dumpling, Seafood Finger and Fried Tofu Pepper and Salt. My friends ordered the Curry Rice, Curry Noodle and Calamari Ring. It was surprising how the Seafood Finger and Calamari Ring tasted like seafood even though there was no real seafood in them. They were quite tasty with the sauce provided and the batter was crunchy. The Tofu was nice, and the boys enjoyed their Curry Rice and Curry Noodle. The prices are descent for the amount you get and you also get to walk around and explore that lovely place. It’s a nice place to stop for lunch if you are heading south and want take a...

This beautiful tea house is located in Nan Tien Temple. The menu are all vegetarian & most are vegan 🌱! You can have vegetarian/vegan yum cha here, but I usually get these 2 dishes when I’m here: Cha Shao Rice & Curry Noodle as they are so flavourful & filling 🙌. I also recommend their dried lotus flower tea, as it’s so fragrant. This tea house is run by the wonderful Temple volunteers and all profits go back to the Temple 🫶. Come and check it out when you’re visiting the temple or in Wollongong area. Please note that you order the food at the counter & pick up once the buzzer buzzes. They are busy on weekends hence the wait may be long during peak time.
