Edit - I find this type of response interesting. Rather than acknowledging and using the feedback to improve your business and customer satisfaction, you go on the defensive and resort to insults. A simple "thank you for your feedback, we are always trying to improve our services and will use your review to assist in this. Could you please explain the issue you had with our ordering system?" And then I'd reply "being by myself and lining up to place my order, there was no way I could know what table would still be available when I'd finished placing my order. Most places that have the customer place an order at the counter hand them an order number display to put on their table, solving this problem. " As for your personal attack, if you actually took the time to look through my reviews, you'd have seen that I have given many many top reviews, but I call out bad experiences when I have them.
Cheers
Grabbed the bacon and egg roll, because of their table numbering and ordering system my order went to the wrong table. When I got it, it had salads that weren't stated on the menu, bacon was almost raw and it didn't have the cheese I paid extra for. I picked the plate up and found the bottom was covered with something that was now on my...
Read moreGood coffee, ok food, horrible service. Went there to have a meal and relax after the cliff bridge walk tourist ritual, maybe we were just unlucky but the bad experience started at the counter when we were still choosing our meals and the waitress made it very clear that patience was not her strength giving short and incorrect answers about the food and looking at us as if we should not have the right to choose and ask questions… And there is also the told off because we didn’t know the number of our table! After this initial cold shoulder and have chosen our table, a second waitress drops the coffee cups with no saucer or tea spoons and walks away, when called to ask if we could have some sweetener it was like war declaration, a sugar container was dropped on the table, but no spoons… And from there was pretty much downhill with us having to get off the table and fetching from cutlery to water. I mean no disrespect and expect the people in charge to take this observation in a constructive way, but boy… there were no good feelings when leaving that place and am sure that is not the purpose of the...
Read moreNo question this place is a serious player. The decor, design and ambience - stunning. Photos do not do it justice, check their website. You walk in you're immediately confronted by baking nirvana. Cakes, croissants and cookies so perfectly arranged that if this was the 19th century, Vermeer would have trampled over people to get here just to paint the scene. The coffee is always good but, my oh my, I just consumed THE best spinach and feta gozleme I've ever had. Served as a takeout, piping hot with garlic aioli and a lemon wedge. I was actually depressed when there was no more. I don't think they really need the reviews, the word of mouth I suspect is as strong as the gale whipping up sea spray at Coledale beach just below the cafe. If there's any downside, it can get a little busy but the OUTSTANDING fare provides ample compensation and you can always opt for takeout on these occasions and enjoy it watching the breakers crash onto the rock platform metres away...
