Uluwatu Blue — Restaurant in Wollongong City Council

A very unique taste 👌 in a very specific location.

We occasionally visit Stanwell Tops and Bald Hill Lookout and, this time, explored Ulluwatu Blue. If anyone is not aware, Ulluwatu is a temple and location in Bali.

I'm glad that we chose to visit. A very small family owned Bali style and mexican cuisine restaurant. Some amazing smoothies and a very unique taste to everything they prepare.

We tried Mie Gorang, Hard Shell Tacos, and Quesadilla.

The Mie Goreng was a bland noodle 🍜 with roasted eggplant on the side 🍆. I wasn't a big fan of the first dish but a unique taste, either way. 😋

The rest of the dishes were pretty good. They have ample games to engage the family and kids. Despite quite a number of lunch orders, they were very quick to bring the food.

The staff is very courteous and there is ample parking. This place is worth visiting again.

The coffee is a little bitter, and the owner was courteous to let us know prior. The place is also a little bit pricier.

Kitsch place on the road. Terrible service. 30minutes after ordering and paying for pork tacos was told the kitchen was out of stock of most things. My husband asked them to just make something out of whatever they had in stock. Almost an hour later vegetarian quesadillas arrived at our table. After eating half of a quesadilla a plate of chicken tacos arrived with a very angry waitress (she appeared to be the manager) who yelled at us “you took the wrong one!”. My husband was surprised and answered “I didn’t take anything, this was brought to us and I thought that’s all your kitchen could manage”. The angry lady then snatched the quesadillas from in front of him and slammed the tacos down (taking his cutlery with her and not providing new cutlery). Shortly after the table next to us received their vegetarian quesadillas. Strongly suspect they repurposed the plate snatched from my husband. Food was mediocre, definitely not worth the wait or...

Was keen to try this place as have heard great reviews from friends and family. Travelled an hour from the shire to have lunch and they were closed before 3pm... opening times on the window and also on google show they’re open till at least 5pm on the day we came. Would of been great to try this spot if they were open when they say they are.

UPDATE: The kindly and promptly explained that they are closed until some time in August. Very thankful for the reply. Google really needs to let owners edit the hours for their own business! It would maybe be also helpful to have a sign saying closed at the moment at the restaurant, but I can totally understand given the road closure and current situation. Will definitely be back to confirm my 5...
