Everglades Country Club — Restaurant in Woy Woy

It’s been a while since I visited this club. We decided to have a family lunch and was surprised at how just how much this place has lifted its game.

It’s all down to chef Nathan Caldwell and his clever menu. Make no mistake this is Bistro food with a twist.

First up some juicy, spicy buffalo wings with a Cajun twist and a creamy ranch style dipping sauce. Delicious finger food. We had them some garlic bread that was a lovely flatbread that was light and complimented perfectly.

Our table had a mixture of impressive mains.

First up was a delicious twist on the bistro shnitty with a tex mex vibe. Topped with a traditional chili con carne, cheddar cheese sauce with jalapeños and sour cream. A delicious Juicy and generous chicken filet in a light seasoned crumbed crust. Delivered with fresh broccolini, sweet sugar snap peas, zucchini and a divine creamy mAsh. (Or hand cut chips if you prefer) Wow, what a great combination of flavour.

The lemon Sole was as good as it gets with a clever light garden salad with cucumber and cherry tomatoes that had a tangy zing complicating the fish This fish was simple and cooked to perfection and is good as it gets.

The salt and pepper squid was delicate, soft with a perfectly seasoned batter that was flavoursome without being oily.

The chef owns this menu and let’s the product do the talking. I’m a seasoned foodie and this is most certainly bistro food how it should be, generous, hearty, appealing and flavour centric. This is honest food without pretentiousness delivered in pleasant surroundings with exceptional service.

We had our wedding at the Everglades, we had this planned early 2020, sent invites out and that's when covid restrictions hit. We thought our wedding was ruined, had to be cancelled but the staff at the Everglades were awesome from every step to the next to give us our dream wedding (of course Covid safe). The ceremony was set-up perfectly in there new ceremony area, and photography on the golf course was amazing. They catered to all our guests every request with professionalism and respect. The reception was amazing set-up by them as if it was for there own. Bar staff was patient and very good at what they do. The staff even helped with a covid safe alternatives as we only could have our first dance and no guests dancing. I'd strongly recommend this venue to all looking for a wedding that is relaxed but very elegant, Thank you everyone at the Everglades...

I would just like to say a huge Thank You for allowing us to book the Cabana on the weekend Saturday, 4th of March. It was perfect for our son's 3rd birthday. Such a relief turning up to a nice clean space ready for me to decorate. The kids had an absolute ball, and it was awesome to have the cabana so the adults could still enjoy themselves but be in the shade and close by to the kids. The service was amazing! All the staff were so accommodating and welcoming. The chefs and all the staff did an incredible job with serving the food. It all came out on time and served beautifully. Everything was fresh and amazing. Such a lovely variety of food for the adults and the kids smashed the nuggets & chips platter. Looking forward to booking this space again early April for our next birthday celebration.
