I tried this take away store for the first time recently. The first thing I noticed upon entering is how uninviting it looked, and the amount of things all over place, nothing was tidy, nothing looked clean and the place was near empty of diners but had 4 staff, 3 of whom were standing around talking even still while serving customers.

The other thing I noticed while waiting was every staff member that was serving/ cooking / preparing food all touched most ingredients with bare hands, no gloves, no tongs, no hair nets. Nothing. They all Placed food in bags and boxes bare handedly, and I’m not talking about frozen uncooked items, I’m referring to wrapping food, putting meat , salads etc with bare fingers sliding meat onto hamburgers from spatulas with hands, dropping spoon scooped salad onto the counter then picking it up bare hands and throwing it back into the takeaway container they were filling. I was watching and cringing the entire time. Food safe practices are definitely not something anyone who works here is aware of or practices. I was Deeply deterred to not eat anything I ordered but did anyway. ( What a mistake that was ) Everyone working here would benefit from a course in safe food handling at a bare minimum. The entire shop could definitely use a deep clean especially under the cabinets as I could clearly see piles of food thick layers of dust and debris under every counter.

I Tried several different items for the purpose of this review.

The WORKS BURGER which was absolutely gigantic approximately 16-18 cm across which I must say looked totally impressive on first site, one of the biggest burgers I have ever seen, although I was unhappy it was on a bread roll rather than a hamburger bun ( and the store failed to inform me of this ) Despite all this, I was still determined to try to enjoy it. Upon biting into it I soon realised it was basically just a normal sized hamburger content inside but on a gigantic bun. It broke and fell apart completely after 1 bite. It cost $14.90. There was no cheese on it. The lettuce was cos. 1 slice of beetroot. 1 slice of tomato. The entire contents of the burger had black charcoal muck and debris from the dirty grill all over both sides of all cooked items; (meat, pineapple, egg, bacon, onions. ) see pictures. The egg did not look like an egg and the bacon was a whole uncut slice that had all the fat strip still attached, the meat patty itself was extremely over salted, all of Which was enough for me to stop eating after 2 bites. The only good thing I can add to this is that the beef patty is real mince meat with no fillers and no sausage meat.

The SPRING ROLL was the most disgusting and disgraceful thing I’ve ever seen come out of any take away store. You can judge for yourself in the picture. Needless to say I didn’t even touch it.

The FISH, the coating itself was exceptionally good but the dry fish inside was another let down and again I stopped eating it after just 1 bite.

The PRAWNS absolutely stunk and again I didn’t even bother to try these as the smell alone was enough to churn my stomach.

The CHIPS were bland and boring, very greasy, overcooked and after just 2 chips I stopped eating.

The COFFEE wasn’t too bad, nice thick foam and fairly well made. The cardboard cup it came in was way too thin and was burning my hand.

I do not recommend this restaurant / take away, nor will I ever return.

( I do not wish to be invited to make further comment, give further details, nor be contacted by the restaurant’s management or owner to discuss these matters, nor do I like to see owners and managers defending, trying to justify any indifferent comments made by any reviewers. Comments I have made this in review were made openly and honestly without prejudice, this review is my opinion based on what I seen, how I got treated as a customer and the food I got served. I gave constructive criticism where I felt it was...

Wow, this is an amazing place to stop to grab a bite to eat, great friendly staff that deliver food that is amazingly fresh, the rolls are man sized and so soft, 1roll could easily feed two people, they are in between KFC and pizza hut but forget them, don't overlook this place as when it comes to value for money, this is the place to go, I first went in just to have a look as I am a KFC fan but now I have found something much better and highly recommend this place to everyone, MUST STOP LOCATION!!! I am now a customer for life, yes that good, so if u have to fill up ya tank as fuel is cheaper at the metro service station, do not overlook this shop, it'll surprise u on the sheer freshness, no more servo food or school kids making the same old pizza or KFC, try out JAY-C Takeaway cafe, I promise it won't disappoint..... if I could give them six stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ on Google ratings I would, definitely recommend to everyone, workers n families, Try something new Try JAY-C u won't be disappointed, I Promise...

It’s a shame as this was one of my favourite places to eat. But as of now I will no longer be a customer. Due to who I believe is the owner snatching a business card that was out for people to take out of my daughter hands without asking. After asking if my daughter really needed to take the business cards with her (of other businesses not her own) My daughter has ASD and once we got in the car this caused her to have an emotional meltdown and then told me she didn’t like the lady touching her without asking. What a shame you have no respect for other peoples personal space and for you to snatch that out of my 8 year daughters hand is just beyond disrespectful and no ok. Will no longer be coming here and will be telling others not to go....

Went in and got 2 chicken sandwiches half way through eating I got this down my throat, called and asked for a refund which the young woman told me to come in and she’d give me, I arrived there and got rude looks and attitude from what I assume is the boss, I offered to show her a photo of the bone and she said I need the whole order back to get the refund, I said it’s in the car I can get it which again I got attitude for so I said to her ā€œyou don’t need to be so stand offishā€ which she replied once again with attitude.

The day started as any other, that was until a colleague alerted me to the availability of a Gourmet Lamb wrap at this fine establishment. I just had to try it, and I wasn't disappointed. From the first bite I could tell the Lamb was perfectly cooked, the salad was zesty and light and the Garlic Aoli were like tears from an angel drizzled perfectly throughout. My only complaint, I had to return to work after consuming this delightful meal instead of having a lie down and a cigarette. Official rating 4.7
