HEAVENLY LAVENDERLY PURPLEY LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!! 💜💜💜 Did I make any sense?! 🤣🤣🤣 Oh how I love Cape Lavender! Their service was always great, the staff were always smiling and the place was just so beautiful with all the purple wisterias in full bloom! I came here for one thing and one thing only: THAT LAVENDER CAKE! 🍰 Ahhhhhhhh.....How I would kill to get their recipe!!! LOL Also, do I need to say it's a very instagrammable cake?!? 😉 I couldn't stop taking pictures.

I also really love their Lavender ICE CREAM & TEA. So calming! First time I had lavender ice cream was in Tassie so I'm very happy I can have it too in my own backyard. And yes it's official, lavender is my favourite ice cream flavour 😋 I have been here twice and honestly this is a place I can come back to again and again and again and again...probably forever! I took my mom here in the first visit and she loved it too. We bought a lot of their body products and teas and lollies. And I bought one very pretty Llama doll! 🪅

But I gotta say though, some of their products were good, but some were just so-so. I loved their body products, hand sanitiser, teas and lollies...but things like their lavender diffuser was just so disappointing 😕 Yes it smelled divine, but unfortunately it evaporated so quickly within weeks!!!! The whole bottle!!! (mind you it's a small bottle and quite expensive!). I googled it and avoided flipping the reeds too many times, and even asked the staff what I should do to stop it evaporating so quickly, but unfortunately no one could really answer it. Guess it's just one of those 'it is what it is' things. Also, I put it in my bathroom thinking it'd make the room smell better, but nope, couldn't even smell it at all unless I picked the bottle up and smelled it closely. Such a shame! 🥺

Anyway like I said, I always come here only for one thing: their cake! So I can't wait for my next visit to eat...

I had my 2 months old baby with me when I went to that cafe. She needed a nappy change after some unexpected bowel movement, so I asked the staff if there was a changing table somewhere. I've been told there wasn't any. Therefore I had to change her on the floor of the toilet (disgusting!) There was a sign on the wall asking, in respect of other customers, to not put dirty nappies in the bin that was in the toilet, but to put them in the outside bin instead. It means that the cafe is well aware some customers have to change nappies, but there's still no changing table available. I believe the cafe should show the same respect to customers with babies as it does to "other customers".

Everything is esthetically beautiful: the food, drinks, glasses, water jugs, teapots. Everything is a lavender colour or has lavender flowers on it. You can take very unique pictures in that cafe.

I had the lavender mousse cake which was alright, but I had higher expectations considering the price for one piece ($12.50). One section of the cafe was closed, which means that all customers were packed in one small section. The staff did its job but wasn't very friendly. The ambiance of the cafe was rather cold.

I may give a second chance to that cafe, but I'll wait a few years when I no longer have a...

Where can I start, walked in and was greeted and told to order at the other counter inside which is not staffed. Waited a while. Finally a lady came to order and a couple ordered in front of me and then the same staff member who took their order walked past me to go make their order, rather than take an extra minute to take my order so I could go sit at my table, had me wait 10 minutes until someone else walked passed and asked if I needed help...

Whilst eating inside another lady started dusting the corners of the ceiling above me and another table with dust landing everywhere, completely oblivious... Then five minutes later she continued to dust outside while half a dozen customer's were waiting inside clueless as to where to sit or if any service was coming. About three staff members were 'working' in total although seemed to be out back doing something or having a chat at the front counter which can't be ordered from??

Food was average, scones somewhat dry although acceptable. This could have been a 4/5 star review although the place seems to be running by zombie's completely lacking any customer service or even any common sense at all. Won't be back again and...

We drove over four hours from Albany to visit this tea house, drawn in by its beautiful and lovely concept. Unfortunately, the service left us so disappointed. Despite the Google Map indicating 5pm as its closing time, we were told upon arrival at 4pm that only takeaway orders were available. Alternatively, we could dine in, but food and drinks would still be served in takeaway containers. A bit disappointed but understood. We ordered three lavender ice creams today. While the taste is fine, the service was not. We waited nearly 30 minutes for the ice cream. When it finally arrived, the cones lacked paper napkin wrapping, leaving our hands sticky and messy… Also, the staff were quite rude. Although we clearly stated our table number when ordering, she almost delivered the ice cream to the wrong table. After we corrected her, she abruptly slammed the stand holding the cones onto our table without a word and just walked away. Overall, the experience was totally underwhelming. Given that this tea house is popular among tourists, we expected more welcoming, patient, and efficient service. Unfortunately, it lacked all three. We hope the management will take these concerns seriously🫠
