A nice view next to the karkogel and the lifts. We got multiple dishes, so we could share and keep room for dessert. (Un) Fortunately, the food was too good and filling and we skipped dessert. Be aware when you want desserts 😭 One of the staff noticed our trouble with German and switched to our native tongue. I felt welcomed, to say the least.

Die Karkogelhütte, was für ein Ding. Kennt Ihr sie ? Betrieben von erfahrenen Gastronomen. Immer fair, meistens gut, und vor allem autentisch. Und dann, Menschen, die über ihren Germknödelhorizont nicht weiter kommen, eine fiktive Jolanda, die ihr Schnitzel nicht mag, weil die Wampe es nicht bemerkt, ein einheimischer Spatzel, dem 1 Scheibe Brot oder Schinken fehlt, aber der sein Ego am Urinal verschossen hat, oder die Muddi, die nicht weiss, ob sie " scheissen oder kotzen muss", was für eine liebenswürdige Region. Hunderte liebevolle Gespräche, zufriedene Kunden und satte Mäuler. Gestattet uns den Vermerk. " wer nichts kann, wer nichts kennt, wer nichts gewohnt ist, der hält besser sein Maul" Stellt euch vor, wir wollen keine Einheimischen mehr ! Wir haben viele Abtenauer kennen gelernt, die wir echt ins Herz geschlossen haben. Trotzdem, danke und habe die Ehre.

Go on a Thursday evening from 6pm for the 'ride as much as you want' ticket. Fantastic value as we went at least 6 times. It can be a bit busy so be prepared to use your brakes (or risk bumping into someone). Staff work very hard to keep it running very smoothly.

This place is on top of the lift. The view is amazing and its possible for non-skiers to visit and enjoy the skiinglife just by beeing here. But yesterday we had to leave... There was simply to many people (the day before, we only got half cups of glühwein, wich I did not quite get because the price was not half) and today we could not get contact with the staff. Maybee its a good thing for the place, but we have to come back to find out, when its...

Best Kaiserschmarrn we have ever had! Homemade, fluffy with sugar crust, big portion, served fast, my girls were very happy!

The personal is also more than 5 stars *, all friendly, they helped us with taking the car keys from the top of the mountain back to the parking lot.

Cosy and relaxed atmosphere, exactly what you need...
