When you stop at this rest area, there are signs all around you about how this is one of the best rest areas in the world and what all the awards they have won. I don't know how much bribery they paid for these awards, but it was an absolute disaster. First, we waited like fools for someone to serve us. The waiters walked by as if we didn't exist until someone finally took pity on us and asked what we wanted. Fortunately, I ordered tea, because my colleagues who ordered coffee were very disappointed. Very expensive coffee with the taste of the cheapest coffee in the world. A chain restaurant found in many rest stations along Austrian toll. True to other reviews, the pricing on the menu is very very overpriced. I paid EUR18.90 for Spaghettis Bolognese and EUR25 for Zander and Salmon Fillet Grilled. The portions came were very big. 2 main courses were enough for 3 of us. In comfort, the food was delicious. I also tried to reason with myself that the pricing might be high to provide good ambience and good food in the middle of a highway. But of course, if there is a McDonald's next door, i would go for it.

This was our stop to Slazburg. Lovely place for a short or a long stop. . I found it colourful,bright, airy and the staff friendly pleasant, cordial and helpful. The decor also added to our hunger pangs. The food was amazingly tasty. Prices a bit on the higher side but the Apple Strudel made up for it. The restroom is neat and clean. Enough Parking for the stopping and moving traffic. Their shopping area will make you stop for a look or two. And you will not be able to resist to pick up a piece or two.
