Pizzeria Pinocchio — Restaurant in Filzmoos

Came here about 7 years ago with my Dad and it is a lovely place and great food. This review is literally just about the customer service.

Went in today (second day of holiday, going solo this time) at about 17:00ish. Three people propping up the bar, one family eating. Every other table empty. Asked for a table for one and the lady behind the bar looked at her (pretty empty) reservation sheet and just basically looked at me and said no.

I looked at the sheet too. Next booking was between 18:30 and 19:30. Plenty of time for a solo diner to eat and leave. No more than two or three bookings from 18:30 too and at least ten tables in the restaurant.

I made no fuss and just left. Never left a review before but solo dining is such a taboo subject as it is that I felt I had to. Don't think I had to book as I asked the Rep and it doesn't say to book on the site.

Such a shame. Food was fantastic last time I went...

Great service, the staff were very kind to find my son and I a table even though we hadn’t booked… food was wonderful, and I really enjoyed the local white wine. A pizza, garlic bread & salad were a perfect size for us to share and all were delicious and fresh. Can’t wait to go back in a few days, we’ve booked this time as we want to make sure we get in!...

Ein Laden, wo man dem ersten Eindruck folgen und auf dem Ansatz umdrehen sollte. Ambiente wie Bahnhofsimbiss wäre nicht schlimm. Aber die frostige Atmosphäre - schlägt sich auch in der Raumtemperatur von wohl 18-19° nieder. Noch nie saßen wir in Winterjacken frierend in im Restaurant. Was die ewige Wartezeit (trotz wenigen Gästen) nicht erleichtert. "Können wir einen heißen Holunder haben? Sonst Zitrone" - Wirtin: "Also heut ist ein komischer Tag. Lauter so komische Bestellungen!". Ernsthaft?! Da hätten wir dann definitiv aufstehen und gehen sollen. Essen mittelmäßig. In "Thunfisch-Sardellensoße" konnte ich Sardellen weder sehen noch schmecken. Anderes Nudelgericht sehr trocken, angeröstete Nudeln. Zu dritt getrennt zahlen erregt ebenfalls den unverhohlenen Unmut der Wirtin. Selber Schuld am knappen Trinkgeld, gute Frau. Und am eher leeren Laden. Eine normale Freundlichkeit würde die mäßige Kochkunst und die eisige Temperatur zumindest erträglicher machen. Dann wär's kein Problem dass ein ital. Restaurant nicht von Italienern...
