The hotel is located in the quaint little village Bad Fischau. The location is convenient if you are visiting the Wiener Neustadt area. There are several shopping centers within 6 - 10 minutes driving distance, as well as some Restaurants and "Heurigers" within walking distance. There is a nice Children's playground about 7 minutes walk from the hotel in the forest. ||||The hotel is very accommodating if you are staying there with a small child. A child bed and milk for a baby bottle were very kindly offered by the staff, whenever needed. ||The rooms in the new section are modern, spacious and clean. They are equipped with a TV, loads of storage space, nice big windows, a comfortable bed, a bathroom with a shower and sink, and a toilet, which oddly is in a room of its own. Note that there is no fridge in the room. ||||All in all the quality of the hotel and the room was very good. The price is possibly a bit on the high end of the average scale, for the location and the amenities. This is a 3 star hotel, in a rather remote location. ||||The only downside is the food. We have been here 4 years ago when the food was great. This time around we had soups that were cold, Knödel that were cold inside, Bread which was still frozen in the middle, and one dish with cabbage that was so salty it could not even be eaten.|| ||If I had to guess, I would assume that most of the food is prepared and frozen, and then warmed up when needed. Maybe they are in between chefs, and making due with special circumstances, but we find that for the price of the dishes, a minimum of quality standard should be possible. ||Breakfast on the other hand was very nice and ample, with a great selection, and a long time window in which to enjoy your breakfast. ||Most of the staff were very friendly and always ready to help us. ||||If it weren't for the food situation, and the fact that the restaurant is completely closed on Sunday evenings, I'd have probably given a higher rating. ||||Nonetheless it is a good location for a short visit...

Note 4.
