Disappointing Experience – Bland Food & Poor Seating

We had high hopes for this restaurant (seems that the better reviews are 2y or older) because unfortunately for our family, it fell short. The food was mostly tasteless— the famous Onion Roast was soggy and boring..lacking flavor, or any effort to make it enjoyable. The pasta arrabiata had the shrimps in it with tales still on! So.... try to surgically cut that out or put your fingers in! Our kids both ate about 15% of it.. because they were hungry.

To make matters worse,we were seated at an uncomfortable table, cramped in a corner by the door going to the wardrobe and toilet. And that despite having a reservation made 1 day ahead. The lady serving our table was very nice and spoke English. She did her best but the overall experience was not worth the price. Sorry.. but definitely won’t...

We recently stopped at this charming restaurant during our travels, drawn in by the many glowing reviews. From the moment we arrived, we knew we had made the right choice.

Our group consisted of a dozen people, each ordering something different. The grilled dish with various meats was simply fantastic – perfectly cooked and full of flavor.

The service was exceptional, with staff speaking excellent English. The breathtaking view of the mountains from the garden added a special touch to our dining experience.

Wir sind aufgrund der positiven Bewertungen extra angereist und leider war es ziemlich enttäuschend.. das Lokal an sich ist schön, hat ein nettes, uriges Ambiente, sehr warm und einladend, war auch ziemlich gut besucht. Wir wurden nett empfangen ( die Dame war sehr nett, sie hat auch am Ende bei uns abgerechnet, sie war sehr freundlich) leider hat uns eine andere Dame bedient, sie war jetzt nicht sonderlich unfreundlich, dennoch offensichtlich genervt und ein wenig lustlos. Das Essen war für mich leider unheimlich enttäuschend und der ausschlaggebende Grund für die 2 Sterne Bewertung. Ich hatte das Holzfällersteak ( Schweinesteak) in Champignonsauce mit Pommes um 12,90€ . Das Fleisch war unheimlich zäh( bei Schweinesteak wirklich schwer hinzubekommen) ich habe es kaum kauen können, meine Begleitung hat es probiert und bestätigt, dass dies inakzeptabel zäh ist. Die Sauce hat gut geschmeckt, allerdings jetzt nichts berauschendes, Pommes frites wären in Form von Wellen frites und haben wie jene aus dem Supermarkt geschmeckt. Die Portion, eine absolute Frechheit, das Steak wirklich klein, sehr klein. Ausser Pommes frites ( normal Portion) gab es keine zusätzliche Beilage, ich habe das Lokal hungrig verlassen und ich verlasse Restaurants meist immer mit einem Mitnahmepäckchen, oder sehr satt, dass ich ein Restaurant hungrig verlasse, kommt so gut wie nie vor. Der Preis von 12,9euro ist für mich nicht ersichtlich. Das Fleisch ist nicht hochwertig, schlecht zubereitet, Champignons schmecken wie aus der Dose, Sauce ist zwar ok, rechtfertigt den Preis dennoch nicht..Wellen frites wären ausreichend gewesen, wenn es eine angemessene Portion Fleisch bzw eine andere Beilage noch gegeben hätte, so ist der Preis einfach unverständlich! Meine Begleitung hatte die Kasnockerl, sie waren geschmacklich ok. Fazit: gutes Ambiente, Service mittelmäßig, Essen überteuert (zumindest mein holzfällersteak), schlecht zubereitet und nicht sättigend. Es gibt bestimmt bessere Restaurants in...
