Winery Thomas Gritsch - courtyard in the arcades — Restaurant in Gemeinde Spitz

We went to this place hoping to get good food and wine based on recent reviews but in return received a very opposite welcome. We called and no one picked up the phone so we went to the place to see if it is operational. Once we reached there one elderly lady came and acted as if it was someone elses place and a private property we are encroaching. Its weird how you search for a good winery in spitz and then this name comes up. I would suggest the owner to put some information on working hours as what we experienced was not...

Very nice Top Heuriger with extraordinary garden and playground for children. The most exciting thing though was the Riesling Federspiel Setzberg. One of the best Riesling I have ever enjoyed. Wines can be picked up...

Essen (besonders Gebäck & Fleisch) & Weine sind wirklich gut. Preislich im normalen Rahmen.

Großes aber: Die Bedienung war außerordentlich unfreundlich. Keine Begrüßung & Verabschiedung, kein Bitte, Danke, einfach die Rechnung auf den Tisch geklatscht und den Betrag genannt, es wurde nie gefragt ob wir noch Getränke wollen,.... Die Frage ob man die Rechnung teilen könne, wurde gekonnt mit einem Blick auf den Nachbartisch ausgekontert. Im vollen Kontrast dazu war die junge Bedienung um die 25. Hatte Humor & man wurde gut bedient. Schade.
