San Marino — Restaurant in Gmunden

I recommend this restaurant! It is situated near beautiful Traunsee lake, in a quiet area. You can eat inside or in a cosy garden. We ordered 2 pizzas (Quattro Stagione and spicy Mafioso). So much flavour! The quality of the ingredients was very good and the amount of ingredients on the pizzas generous.

After we paid, the owner asked us to stay for a moment because he had a gift for us. After a couple of minutes he returned with a free dessert! Tiramisu was delicious!

To sum up, good location, great food and a very friendly and hospitable owner.

My husband and i shared the oven baked lasagne, soup and carbonara. Food wise while the presentation isn’t spectacular, the quality tastes very natural and home made as though mother’s cooking. The portions are generous too. We are very thankful for the service. The host is very patient and gave us time to think about our orders (did not rush us), attentive (gave a second spoon for the soup as we were sharing without us asking) and asked if we wanted chili for the lasagne and provided both tabasco and sriracha.
