Daniels Restaurant — Restaurant in Gols

Visited after a long night of driving to rest as we had to travel more in the morning. The room we were given had a flat screen TV, comfortable beds, air conditioning, a fridge and oven. Overall the room was pretty nice even though it wasnt thoroughly cleaned from the past visitors as we found small scraps of food and an empty water bottle in parts of the room. The shower room however wasnt all too great as the showerhead would fall on it's own and water would get everywhere as there wasnt a curtain or a fully closed off shower room. The checking in and out was a bit cumbersome as when we checked in we had to fill out a massive document of sorts that required a lot of personal information which I am not all too fond of and the check in times are up to 2200 and the check out times are up to 1630. The biggest inconvenience of all was the lack of a receptionist as there was nobody to ask where our rooms were and the signs on the wall were especially unclear as they only provide half of the necessary information to find the room. Additionally it's even harder if you dont speak german as you have to rely on getting lucky with finding an english speaking employee, which are hard to come by. The key was just left on the receptionists desk with a sticky not with the room number and my name (misspelled by the way) on it, so that really does create a really negative first impression. There also was no parking even though it was stated that there was. For us that wasnt a major issue, as there were parking spaces on the street outside, but if you are planning on a longer stay, I dont know whether this could be considered an issue. For our needs this is acceptable but if you are planning on a longer stay you may have to reconsider as all of these small issues...

The Hotel is located in the middle of the village Gols, and it is good point for starting your trips around the Neusiedler See. In Gols there is located around 250 winehouses and you can taste all of their products in the information centre, where is the wine bar and shop, try it and you will see. You can park your car in the front of the hotel on the street. The personal talks german (what surprise) :-) and also english. The rooms are clean, they are equiped with air condition and super modern massage shower box. The bed is aslo comfortable, it was equiped with hard mattrass, which I like. During nights we didn´t hear some noises, maybe because our room had the window to the yard, so the sleep was ok. The breakfest was combination of english and continental style and was very rich and varied. Especially the strudels are delicious. At our stay there were some reconstructions of the hotel, but we were not disturbed by them. I can recomend this hotel for your stay. Unfortunately I didn´t try their own wine and kitchen, because we went back from our trips late, so...
