Its been a challenge booking in Kitchberg/Kitzbuhel with our very limited Language skills. Pfeffermuhle uses open table. Quick response to confirm reservation. Restaurant is beautiful and has a lively vibe. Staff are very service oriented and friendly. Fritz you were amazing helping us with the menu and you had a great sense of humour telling us we had to make our own BBQ. What a superb meal. Most enjoyable. TL;DR: The service was incredibly slow and when the food finally came it was undercooked.

The restaurant was very busy and understaffed to begin with. Despite having a reservation, we were left standing at the front of the restaurant for 10 minutes, they sat us without giving us any menus and it was impossible to flag down a waiter. We finally managed to order after about half an hour. It took us an hour and a half to get the starter, and a further half an hour to get the main. When the food eventually came the risotto was crunchy (but the pizza and burgers were fine).

Great drinks, delicious food, and wonderful service! The artichoke salad was really unique and fresh. The spicy salmon tartare with polenta was incredible. Mushroom ravioli was excellent. Steak on a hot plate did not disappoint in terms of presentation or flavor. Rack of lamb was tender, juicy, and tasty. The best part was the SERVICE! Our server, Fred was his name, was fast, efficient, and attentive. He did it all while serving THIRTY tables at the same time.
