During my recent visit to Krumpendorf, I had the pleasure of dining at See.Gast.Haus, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the hosts, whose hospitality made me feel right at home. Their friendliness and attention to detail throughout my visit were exceptional and added a personal touch to the entire dining experience.
The highlight of my meal was undoubtedly the fish. It was incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of seasoning that allowed the natural flavors to shine through. Whether you’re a seafood lover or simply someone who enjoys a well-prepared meal, the fish at See.Gast.Haus is a must-try. The quality of the ingredients and the skill in preparation were evident in every bite.
In addition to the fantastic food, the view at See.Gast.Haus is absolutely breathtaking. Located right on the shores of Lake Wörthersee, the restaurant offers stunning panoramic views of the water and surrounding mountains. Dining on the terrace with the lake stretching out before me was a serene and peaceful experience, making the meal even more enjoyable.

Ambiente sehr schön, aber das zahlt man auch am Schluss bei der Rechnung.
Im Sommer 2022 waren wir hier zum ersten mal und es war ausgezeichnet, sehr nett aber auch eher ruhig.
Dieses mal war das Erlebnis leider nur mäßig zufriedenstellend.
Wir tranken alle Cocktails und Wein, welche alle sehr gut waren. Wir tranken auch sicher 3-4 Karaffen Leitungswasser.
Dann bekamen wir das Gedeck, das Brot war leider steinhart und von gestern, kann passieren, wurde beanstandet und auch ausgetauscht. Die Aufstriche waren sehr gut.
Die Vorspeisen waren auch alle samt sehr gut.
Bei den Hauptspeisen waren wir einerseits von den Portionsgrößen für den Preis etwas enttäuscht und andererseits auch von der Qualität. Zudem war die Tagliata meiner Schwester komplett flachsig.
Mit fortschreitender Stunde wurde es im Lokal immer voller und das Stresslevel des Personals immer höher. Die Chefität hat vor den Gästen das Personal unüberhörbar zurechtgewiesen und kritisiert. Meiner Meinung nach ein No-Go.
Von den Nachspeisen waren wir nur mäßig begeistert.
Als wir gezahlt hatten, wurden wir nicht mal verabschiedet und wir hatten das Gefühl am liebsten sofort aufstehen zu müssen, damit der Tisch gleich wider nachbesetzt werden kann.
Beim verlassen des lokals, haben wir erneut das Servicepersonal fast schon laufend und sich an den leuten vorbeidrängeln gesehen.
Für das Preisniveau und das was sie anbieten, leider nicht angemessen.

Lovely place! We stopped at this restaurant during our trip around Europe to eat a late breakfast. Despite a fact that breakfast menu wasn’t available at the restaurant, very kind waitress recommended us very tasteful the benditct-style eggs with asparagus as our breakfast meal. Service was perfect, I have to mention the availability of English-speaking waitress. Also the view of the beautiful lake is the one of the best things here. Highly recommended place...
