Kirchenwirt am Pöstlingberg Haudum/Ruetz OG — Restaurant in Linz

We have experience with such kind of restaurants in Austria. We like the atmosphere and the austrian food. But I believe the location of this restaurant let the owners believe they do not need to do anymore than the basics and improve their services. We were left waiting for almost an hour until we got served, on the mean while 2 other tables around us left without order something (disapointed). There was only one waiter going up and down, inside and out, all sweaty and bad smelling. The waiter, almost threw us the plates because he was on the rush to serve some others. He served the kid on our table last, instead first. The portions were not enough for the price we paid and the toilets were in a bad shape. They didnt welcomed us or said something on the way out. Overall: Good things: Nice location. The food tasted good and the soft drinks like Coca Colla was served on a small bottle, fresh and cold. So it wasnt flat like most of the Wirtsrestaurants. Bad things: enormous waiting time, not polite, not clean They need to hire some more waiters and some cleaning staff. I dont want to think how the kitchen...

We had a nice lunch here. The service was quite stressed out because of the amount of people trying to get place to sit. We had reserved so we got our table without no waiting. The food was Ok, nothing special but the portions were really big! None of us could finish our portions. We had 2 different meals. Others had Beef Gulasch which had a alright. The meat was tender and taste was good. The other food was pork stew with dumpling and white cabbage salad with bacon pieces (in my pictures). The dumpling was good , the pork pieces had a bit of fat still in them for the people who like them and there was also a bit of crust added to the portion! Which is good small add on to the portion on my opinion (I happened to like it) the portion was really close to be too salty. Would go again but probably would select other day than Sunday to test them again when it’s...

Unnetter Empfang und dann über 1/4 Stunde keine Bedienung (trotz nur wenig besetzter Tische) So lässt sich unser Besuch einer Kleingruppe von 14 Personen zusammenfassen. Beim Betreten des Gastgartens wurde wir erst einmal schroff und ohne Begrüßung gefragt, wohin wir wollten. Wir äußerten unseren Wunsch auf einen Sitzplatz und bekamen als erste Antwort, dass die Tische dort hinten alle reserviert seien und auf unsere Frage, was mit jenen Tischen daneben und in der Mitte seien, wurde uns gesagt, dass diese eh frei seien (komisch, dass als erste Antwort auf die Frage nach freien Plätze die Antwort kommt, welche besetzt seien und nicht welche frei seien....). Wir nahmen an nicht reservierten Tischen Platz in der Annahme, dass von den drei anwesenden Kellnern zumindest einer zu uns kommen würde, um unsere Bestellungen aufzunehmen..... Aber - obwohl eigentlich ein Großteil der Tische unbesetzt war und die Kellner nicht sehr in Eile zu sein schienen (es steht sich ja gut hinter dem Tresen der Ausschank) - es kam niemand zu uns. Nach gut 1/4 Stunde zogen wir von dannen ins nahe Cafe und wurden freundlich und flott bedient (obwohl hier mehr Gäste waren, als im Gastgarten zuvor). Komisch, dass so etwas funktioniert, wenn die Bedienung gewillt ist..... P. S.: Antwort auf Ihre Antwort: Wenn Sie bei der Bedienung auch so prompt gewesen wären wie bei Ihrer Antwort auf meine Rezension, wäre alles okay gewesen..... Und sollten Sie uns sogar "nur" 5 Minuten regelrecht ignoriert haben (was de facto natürlich nicht stimmt), wäre Ihre Ignoranz uns gegenübner auch unrühmlich für Sie! Zum zweiten: Wenn Sie meine Rezension etwas sorgfältiger durchgelesen hätten, wäre es Ihnen sicherlich nicht entgangen, dass wir im nahen Cafe sehr wohl einen Platz (trotz 14 Personen ohne Reservierung) bekommen haben. Im übrigen hätte ich mich auch nicht beschwert, wenn wir bei Ihnen keinen Platz bekommen hätten, weil alle Tische besetzt gewesen wären (waren sie aber nicht - und das verstehe ich im Nachhinein auch warum: bei der Freundlichkeit, welche Sie an den Tag legen.... ). Ich habe nur Ihre unfreundliche Art und die Ignoranz uns...
