Pizzeria Montanara — Restaurant in Mariapfarr

We entered, aks for a table for 2. We sat down, waiter gave us menus and asked for drinks. We got our drinks. After a few minutes another waiter came and told us the kitchen was closed and we could only order pizza. This was told by us in german and after a few questions we managed to understand what he was saying (this wasnt told us when we entered). As we were not in the mood for pizza, we told him we would finish our drinks and leave. The waiter gave a big sigh, asked what we wanted and said he would ask the kitchen. He came back and said they would prepare our pasta order. All of it was in a very unfriendly and unwelcome way. Both our pasta dishes were awful for being an Italian restaurant. During our stay, the waiters and owners were shouting to eachother in Italian for the whole restaurant to hear. I would suggest anyone who wants a nice Italian dinner to go to the many alternatives in the neighbourhood. If you want to feep like Gordon Ramsey in kitchen nightmares, this is the place to be. Terrible food, unfriendly waiters,...

So einen unfreundlichen Wirt habe ich selten gesehen.

Wir gehen viel essen und ich bin nicht besonders anspruchsvoll - schon gar nicht bei einem kleinen Low Budget Italiener in einem Touristengebiet.

Es war Freitagabend und das Restaurant war zu 2/3 besetzt.

Der Wirt lässt jedes Minimum an Freundlichkeit vermissen.

Es fing damit an, dass unsere Kinder ein Getränk von der Karte bestellt haben, was nicht vorrätig war.

Gebellte Antwort: „Gibt’s nicht!“ (Nicht das kleinste Bedauern, keine Alternativempfehlung)

Nach der Bestellung haben wir 45 Minuten auf die Getränke gewartet. Leute, die 10 Minuten nach uns kamen, haben am Nachbartisch vor uns ihre Getränke bekommen. Auf unsere freundliche Nachfrage antwortet der Wirt genervt: „Ja kommt schon!“

Beim Servieren rief der schlecht gelaunte Wirt dann nur über den Tisch: „Pizza!“; „Calzone!“; „Lasagne“ und jedem wurde dann nach Meldung der Teller auf den Platz geknallt. Unglaublich.

Das Essen war im Grunde sogar okay, bis auf die Tatsache, dass in der Lasagne ein 10x 2 cm großes Stück Plastikverpackung befand.

Also, wenn ihr nicht so empfindlich seid wie ich, dann geht gern hin! ;-))

Getting back from ski searched for a restaurant by the route, honestly didnt expect much from austrian pizzeria, but hopefully it turned out it is managed by Italian Guys perfectly knowing how to prepare incredible tasty Italian style pizza and pasta. I'd like to recommend to everyone searching for a different style meal than what is served in ski resorts...
