Imbiss Carmen — Restaurant in Marktgemeinde Schruns

The Wiener Art Schnitzel was really good: better than I had in some posh schnitzel restaurant in Austria, where the waiter gave an attitude when I told him that the schnitzel wasn't done good.

But here it was almost perfectly: just how a schnitzel should be. I would gave given 5 stars, if in front of the Imbiss people weren't smoking all the time. Service however was really good, and they have a toilet as well.

Pricewise also very reasonable: only keep in mind, they most likely don't accept card payments. So better bring some cash with you.

One year later, after writing the original review: we came again to eat here, and the experience was great just like in 2023. But this time I had some nice chats with the locals, discussing about obadoba. I was interested in the meaning, as I didn't know it.

I was surprised that the staff seems to know most of her customers by first name: something that isn't that common anymore, and it reminds me of the old days. When I would go to the local snackbar, in my home town in the Netherlands.

So it was really nice coming here a second time, and having some friendly chats. We actually liked the food here better, than what our hotel...

Ich hatte das Vergnügen, den Imbiss Carmen in Schruns zu besuchen, und kann nur sagen: ein echtes Juwel! Die familiäre Atmosphäre macht den Aufenthalt besonders angenehm. Der Imbiss ist zwar klein und ohne viel Schnickschnack, aber genau das verleiht ihm seinen besonderen Charme. Das Essen ist einfach gehalten, aber der Geschmack ist herausragend. Ich kann den Grillteller wärmstens empfehlen; er schmeckt einfach fantastisch. Die Qualität und Frische der Zutaten sind deutlich spürbar. Insgesamt ein großartiger Ort für alle, die gutes Essen in entspannter Atmosphäre schätzen. Definitiv 5...

Wer nach einer schönen Wanderung Lust auf was deftiges hat, ohne viel Schnickschnack , ist hier genau richtig. Geschmacklich ausgezeichnet. Die Schnitzel wurden frisch geklopft und das Cordon Bleu frisch selbst zubereitet. Der Burger war geschmacklich top und hatte wirklich eine super Größe, sodass auch ein größeres Hunger damit gestillt ist.
