Schafalm — Restaurant in Politische Expositur Gröbming

When we tried to sit down (4people to a 6 people box - I think thats fair, because that was the size of the most table), the blonde women in the picture started to scream at us in German, and pointing at the other way with their hand! She was yelling at us, like I don’t yell at my dog like that! I don’t understand german, so I asked her kindly if she can tell me in English please, but she kept repeating the same words in German and literally screaming at us! I couldn’t believe the way she was treated me, but turns out she was saying that the table was reserved, so we sat down to an other table, no one came to as for like 10 min, they didn’t even acknowledge we were there, than in like a half an hour we get our ski wassel, witch is a very regular drink, but it was very not the flavor what we used to… I am not a problematic person, I not used to complaining, if I don’t like something I just don’t go back, but still be nice and pay the bill tip ect, like normal… But this was a terrible experience, I couldn’t sit there one more minute, we didn’t order any food and we went up to the stairs to an other hütte and got really good experience there, very great for that! Poor service and rude staff.

Stopped for lunch in this restaurant on the afternoon of 15 January 2020. The food that we ordered as a group came out however they had forgotten to bring one of the orders. The staff failed to notice this (they had already also messed up a drinks order) and when this was clear I went up to the kitchen with my table number to ask politely to check. When I had to make the second visit to the kitchen to check up on the order it was whilst explaining the situation to a member of staff that I was told to "chill out and relax", that the restaurant "was not about fast food and that another member of staff would eventually come over when they are ready" despite this not being the issue. The member of staff could also speak English very well so there was no misunderstanding due to language.

Poor service is one thing but rudeness another. A real shame as the restaurant itself is nice and at a great location on the mountain but unfortunately the staff have let themselves down and at no point did we even...

Wow. Just wow. The view from Schafalm is like non other. After half a day of skiing, there is nothing better than eating at Schafalm. You can sit outside when it is warm, inside when it is cold and the experience will be amazing either way. The service is great and fast. You get your drinks almost right away and the food 5 minutes after. It is clear to see that Schafalm has done this a long time. The only downside about Shafalm is the fact that you have to buy food for more than 20 euro, otherwise you have to pay with cash (I don't always have cash on me) - other than that, there is nothing to be negative about.
