Mankei-Alm — Restaurant in Tweng

The most service minded staff and owners in the of whole Obertauern! We were searching all over Obertauern for a nice private place to have a party. It was difficult! But then we found the Veit family and they were the only ones who could help us, the right way, and they made it so much better than we could imagine! :-) We had a wonderful evening in the restaurant, with nice view, very good food, nice drinks, nice music and party! They even helped us get a fire show and an Austrian band! And we could go there by skidoo and pist groomer. Our company, all the 40 people will forever have this evening in our memory. A pub/restaurant with a nice view but that is all what was positive. Waiters do not look around themselves you need to shout at them to get attention. While having their smoking time there is noone.. There were a lot of wrong orders. The meals were toooooo much salty. If you want to pay it is much quicker to go inside and pay there. Waiter didn’t ask if we are ok to have 4 more people on the table, he just told them to sit next to us. Result: no space to eat at all. Food was very bad, burger for 9€, the bun a cheap 10 cents bun, almost no pulled pork, Eisbergsalat (the cheapest), one “Rösti” that tasted like old fat. No side dishes. Not acceptable at all.
