Eylül Bakery & Restaurant — Restaurant in Vienna

I've been to Eylül Bakery & Restaurant before and had a decent experience, but this recent visit was a nightmare. 😞 The price for a halal buffet breakfast in Vienna is reasonable, and the variety of options is commendable. 🍳 It's usually a pleasant spot to enjoy breakfast with friends, constantly refilling on tea, juice, and breakfast items.

However, my recent visit took a turn for the worse. As I was enjoying my first plate of eggs and sausages, I discovered a big black object in the food. To my horror, it was a dead fly with its wings intact. I was so disgusted and sickened. When I brought it to the attention of the waitress, she seemed more concerned with questioning whether the fly was there before, implying that I had somehow put it in my food. Her lack of apology and dismissive attitude only added to my disappointment. 😔

Despite being extremely hungry, I couldn't eat anymore and felt nauseous. 🤢 The waitress failed to handle the situation properly and even attempted to overcharge me for breakfast buffets. I ended up paying only for my friends as I had hardly eaten anything and was still feeling sick from the experience.

Had a light evening dinner with a combination of warm "Meze" on this pleasant discovery of a new Turkish bakery and restaurant in my part of the neighbourhood. This plate is a variety of dips and spreads for the freshly baked Turkish bread, that has a delectable scent of toasted white and black sesame seeds, and vegetable slices deep-fried in batter. Since this restaurant is three months old, and has a polished feel to its menu offerings and decor, the competent service with smiles all around, I can forgive the slightly over-fried batter of the vegetables. I will know better on my next visit, sooner than later, to request that a lower flame be used. Worth many a return visit for all the other Turkish culinary offerings to be had. Wo soll ich anfangen, das Ganze zu bewerten ist unheimlich schwierig. Es wäre auch nicht fair nur einseitig zu bewerten. Daher will ich bisschen detaillierter bewerten.

Vorerst die Location ist "in Ordnung", ist genau das was man sich erwartet, 0815 türkisches Restaurant. Einige Mitarbeiterinnen hinter der Theke, die mehr quatschen als arbeiten. Der Kellner, der uns bedient hat war sehr nett und freundlich, aber maßlos überfordert. Schließlich sind die anderen Mitarbeiterinnen mit tratschen beschäftigt.

Verwunderlich war für mich, es gibt gar kein Homepage, etwas zu Oldschool muss ich sagen. Die Karte Vorort hat stark im Licht reflektiert und war blöd zu lesen. Auch hier keine Innovation, dabei kann man mit Kleinigkeiten ganz gut toppen.

Riesen-Minuspunkt, Hunde sind nicht erlaubt. Ist mir nirgends passiert, dass ich meinen Hund nicht mitnehmen darf, außer bei türk. arab. etc. Restaurant. Warum so eine harte Ablehnung herrscht ist mir nicht klar, hab selber türk. Wurzeln. Womöglich empfinden die Tiere als unrein, aber... ah lassen wir das Ganze ;)

Jetzt kommen wir zum wesentlichen, das Essen war ein Desaster, sowas habe ich in meinem Leben noch nicht vernommen. Allererst sind die Hauptspeisen zu 99% mit Fleisch, keine vegetarischen Hauptspeisen vorhanden, alle Speisen sind unheimlich fettig, die einzigen Gemüse-Speisen waren die Vorspeisen, meist auch panierte Sachen in Fett - na super. Reis hat gut geschmeckt, aber ist auch keine Leistung. Beim Adana Özel war sogenannte "Tomatensouce", man war die eklig. Es schmeckte wie eine fertige Tomatensuppe bzw. passierte Tomaten, nur warm gemacht, habe mir echt was anderes erwartet. Generell Schade, dass keine Spezialitäten aus Anatolien angeboten werden, sondern nur Grillfleisch. Kein Salat dabei, kaum Gemüse, keine Ahnung, was ich noch dazu sagen soll, anscheinend eröffnet jede/r mit a bisserl Kochskills ein Restaurant...

Preis/Leistung ist daher in meinen Augen katastrophal, zu viel Geld für so wenig Leistung. Die Toiletten waren auch jetzt nicht ganz sauber, Seifenspender war leer und 3G-Regel wird nicht überprüft, echt...
