Gasthaus Nachbarn — Restaurant in Vienna

Gasthaus Nachbarn was recommended to me by a Slovakian friend with the words: "Go there, it tastes like home." And I was not disappointed. I ordered mixed vegetarian pierogi (dumplings) filled with potatoes/cheese and mushrooms/cabbage, and then i got a palascinta pancake with cottage cheese and vanilla sauce as a desert. The food looked great, the service was very friendly, and the taste was perfect! Oh, and when you're there make sure to try the mixed beer, too....

My wife and I have just moved into the neighborhood and tried this place out with our dog tonight. It was fantastic! We try to eat vegetarian and our German isn’t great yet, but the staff found someone who could help us out and he recommended a few special things for us which were perfect. I am Slovak and "bryndzové halušky" are my go-to slovak dish. The "bryndzové halušky" here were to die for, I struggled to find a delicious ones like these in the northern central Slovakia where they are traditionally served. Also the Kofola (czech cola-like drink) on tap is amazing. Besides food, the service was incredible and the restaurant was extremely clean and spotless. A must visit place!
