Based on some of the reviews, I was a bit worried, but overall it ended up being a nice experience. I was there with my wife and 4 years old son. We didn't try any of the cold fish options, so I can't say anything about those, but the food was really great! Vegetarian dishes, meat options and desserts were all very good. I can't complain about the cleanliness either, there was nothing worrisome. Kids were kicking food around the tables, but that is more of the fault of their parents and nothing the restaurant could be responsible for. The interior playground is a really cool idea and our son enjoyed it a lot. It's refreshing to eat in peace while the kid is having fun. They don't really speak English, but we were fine with our minimal German. You don't need to interact too much with anyone, there is a simple to use tablet for ordering dishes. It is true that they don't explain how this all-you-can-eat thing works. It was our second time, so we were a bit more confident. You can basically order anything from the tablet and they'll bring the food to your table. They, or the robot cat ^_^ And you can also go to the kitchen area and freely grab stuff like sides, soup and sweets. If you go for the all-you-can-drink option (you can choose), you can also grab soft drinks and water, but that doesn't include alcoholic drinks, beer or coffee. At the end you just tap on the pay option and someone will come to your table and you pay for the base menus and for the extras. If you waste more than one dish pers person, you'll need to pay for the leftover dish. A very nice concept. On the reservation side of things, you can choose from Room 1 and 2, but there is 0 explanation on the site or anywhere online what those are. In theory, one is the smoking and the other one is a non-smoking room. I still don't know which one is which. Overall, a great...
Read moreOur experience at Ebi 21 was beyond disappointing. The food quality was shockingly bad, with absolutely nothing positive to highlight. This is undoubtedly the worst Ebi location in Vienna. The restaurant itself was dirty and poorly maintained, lacking even the basic cleanliness one would expect. It hardly felt like we were dining in Vienna.
The food served was of such poor quality that it clearly hadn’t been checked before reaching the guests. We were served shrimps that had an unpleasant smell and a strange aftertaste—likely due to improper cleaning or them being old. The chicken wing we received was raw, and instead of the usual two smaller wings, we were given one oversized, undercooked wing. The sweet potatoes were soggy and undercooked as well. The sushi, which is typically fresh at other Ebi locations, was stale and far from acceptable.
The hygiene of the staff was another major issue. The woman who seated us sneezed into her hand and then handed us the ordering tablet without washing or sanitizing her hands. This was both unpleasant and unacceptable, especially in a dining establishment.
Our visit to Ebi 21 was a total nightmare, and I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone.
In stark contrast, Ebi 7 offers consistently fresh, high-quality food in a clean and well-kept environment. I strongly encourage anyone considering Ebi 21 to go to...
Read moreVery nice all-you-can-eat restaurant, with an different approach. Only salad and desert is available via buffet. The rest must be ordered via a table list. You can choose between very good sushi and okay deep-fried meals. You can order in courses, this way everything is still warm when you are ready to proceed. Dishes ordered but untouched are charged extra. The buffet is the only thing where you need to stand up from your chair.
The outside surrounding is not the best for promenade, but you can directly park your car in front of the restaurant. There is a special price for weekdays and it was always filled with many people on lunchtime. Inside the interior is adequate (asia style), plenty of space between your table and the next one.
The service is good and helps you to understand how the order should be made. Dishes are served hot.
Lunch on weekdays € 10,95 is great. But € 17.95 after 5pm and weekends is a little bit too much.
A great restaurant if...
