We've been planning to go to the Löwenzahn for two years now to try out their 5-8 course gourmet menu, and finally today was the day. As we're not in the school holidays, there was hardly anyone there. And good for us! Chef de Cuisine and Gastgeber Jakob Lilg himself provided the table service. It was of course a great honour to be able to see the work delivered and commented on by the master himself. I could write a whole page on the finesse of the dishes, their harmony, their originality, their seasonality, the way they were laid out, the work with local and regional suppliers, the extremely reasonable prices and the overall excellence of the products. It was faultless. But it was above all the kindness of the owner that touched us the most. We came with our 5-year-old daughter, and a 5-8 course dinner is not the most entertaining thing you can do for a child that age. At all times Jakob Ligl enquired whether everything was going well, whether the speed of service was appropriate and whether our daughter was not missing anything. All this, topped off with gourmet cuisine worthy of the finest restaurants, and we had an absolutely incredible evening. We were convinced and we'll be back with pleasure. We shouldn't be reviewing this place, because it's a hidden secret. Weissensee, weissbier and trocken weisswien.... all the best vices in an absolutely stunning place. May is a great time to visit when it's quiet. We went there May 2025, and while it was cool (snow on the hills), it was warm enough to walk the track from the east side Dolomites to Ronacherfels... allow 2 hours if you want to take in the views, and while it's not difficult for folks in their 60s, a stick might be helpful for the tricky tree roots. The ferries are great, whichever way you choose to navigate this beautiful place... 950 metres above Sea level and the lake depth is reportedly almost 100 metres... Chef Marcell and his absolute great service and Bar team are every cent worth to spend. Location is amazing, stuff super friendly and open for any wishes, prices are totally exaptable and fit to the standard. The 4 to 8 course menus are a journey through chef Marcell incredible mind and shows, how much passion and art he puts in his work. Totally recommend all courses all the time.....
