This is by far the best restaurant ever. When you first go in the staff are friendly and happy. The restaurant is very authentic and located right at the bottom of a busy ski resort. You can come in for coffees then it runs into a busy lunch with impeccable food. The food is by far the best I’ve had ever. After lunch everyone comes in for Apri ski and it’s a promise the atmosphere is the best in the village. A laid back and friendly place to eat and drink in the summer months. I know though that it’s a very different place on the winter months! I visited this week and ate here once or twice. Good food, served as promised on the menu, portions good and bar staff attentive and friendly. I visited as a single traveller and as usual in the Wildschönau, I never felt uncomfortable. The owner loaned me a charging cable overnight which was a very welcome gesture. Thank you. And it is always, always lovely to see my old friend (M) behind the bar. Ich kam hier her, da mein Sohn den Einheimischen-Skikurs am Nachmittag besucht. Am Haus stand 'Cafe', ich dachte, ich könnte hier mit einem Buch 2 Stunden warten- natürlich mit Konsumation.

Ich bestellte ein Heißgetränk und einen Kuchen. Der Kuchen kam mit einiger Zeit Verspätung, ich hatte mein Getränk bereits zur Hälfte fertig, es war nicht so warm, als hätte ich lange warten können.

Das Kuchenstück war an der breitesten Stelle etwa 4 cm, da es auf einem großen Teller gebracht wurde, wirkte darauf noch etwas kleiner. Die Sahne war zerlaufen (Teller noch warm), am Teller befanden sich 4 Beeren als Dekoration.

Nach einer halben Stunde fragte mich die Angestellte, ob ich noch etwas trinken oder zahlen wollte. Es kann auch daran liegen, dass deutsch nicht ihre Grundsprache ist, es kam so an, als sollte ich gehen oder noch mehr bestellen. Der Gastraum war ansonsten leer, ich hab niemand den Platz weggenommen.

Die Rechnung war jedoch die Krönung: 6,90 € für den Kuchen!!!!!! Ich habe noch einmal nachgefragt, ob die Dame vielleicht etwas doppelt verrechnet hat- NEIN.

Lieber Gastwirt: ich weiß, ihr lebt von Touristen und nicht von Einheimischen. Jedoch soll Euch klar sein, dass die Gäste UNS nach Empfehlung fragen. Euch werde ich sicher nicht weitere empfehlen.

Und falls (so wie bei einer anderen Antwort gelesen) ihr meine Bewertung als unfair befindet: eure Preise sind unfair. Neben eurer angestrebten Perfektion wäre ein wenig Gespür und Gastfreundschaft...
