13 restaurant — Restaurant in Baku City

I was brought to a place that is supposed to be the perfect insider restaurant. And to tell it right away, the 13 Restaurant was the best place for local cuisine I have visited so far in Baku.

The love the interior design of the place which combines national styles with art and modern elements. Especially the piece of art which shows Azeri instruments and the puppets from a famous local artist gives it a really special touch. The "13" is spacious and offers also a spot for a live band.

The food is absolutely delicious and very well presented in a way that can compete with the highest standards. Of course the staff is completing this experience with absolutely professional manner.

The price-performance ratio is balanced.

The Google maps say the restaurant is open daily until 11 pm, I come about 8pm, at the entrance to the restaurant a man said they didn’t work, I asked when they work tomorrow, he couldn’t answer, because he doesn’t know either Russian or English, he just said we don’t work tomorrow. The interior is very beautiful in front of the restaurant, but the service and front desk leaves much to be desired. It’s crazy, especially when I took a special taxi for this place…Don’t waste time, the restaurant can be closed...

One of the well-designed restaurants in Baku. Really cool atmosphere with all installations, design details and kitchen utensils. The service was quite good. However I would not give the same positive feedback regarding the food. The steak kebabs were smoked too much that it totally lost the taste and had unpleasant smell. The gutabs were also dry and saltless. All in all, we were only satisfied with the pickles. They have plenty of yummy pickles. Must try! The quality of the food should...
