Garden Cafe — Restaurant in City of Freeport

The Garden Cafe was excellent. Started with frozen cocktails for happy hour and finished with specialty coffees. The Friday night specials were enjoyed by all 16 folks in our party. We had the ploughman's lunch and tuna dip for appetizers. Portions were generous. The waitresses were professional, attentive and fun. Such a beautiful venue and so pretty after dark with all the lights. It is a "go to spot" for us for sure....

A great place for lunch but my my favorite time is Friday nights. One evening a week the Garden Cafe is open with the regular menu plus a couple of dinner specials. I'm really fond of the stone crab when that is in season, and the rack of lamb is also a treat when that is on the menu. the specials change every week. This part of the gardens seems to be kept nicer than the rest of it during the off season. A tour group took us here. Not bad if you’re already in the botanical gardens. Not worth it to go if you’re not there already. Very little seasoning on stuff. Quesadilla was bland. You could maybe request they add more flavor or make it spicy? It’s very plain the way it comes.
