This was my second visit and definitely not my last! The quality of the food and the burst of flavors keep me coming back. Here's a breakdown of the dishes I tried both times:

HAMACHI SERRANITO – My absolute favorite! This was the reason I came back. It’s flavorful, fresh, and perfectly balanced. A solid 100/10 – a must-try! Tuna Tataki – Another hit. I loved it so much I ordered it twice. Beautifully prepared. 9/10 Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice Cake – Delicious and also worth repeating. I didn’t really get the “spicy” kick, but the flavor was still amazing. 10/10 Balsamic Glazed Grouper – I really enjoyed the flavor, but the fish cuts were a bit too thick for my taste. I’d prefer this dish made with hamachi. Still, a good one. 8/10 USUZUKURI (Dry Miso) – This one didn’t land for me. It was too lemony and lacked the depth of flavor the other dishes had. 4/10 Grilled Rack Lamb with Pumpkin Purée – A miss, unfortunately. The flavors just didn’t come together and it felt bland. 3/10 Bask Burger – A big surprise! Packed with flavor and incredibly satisfying. So good I had to order it again. 10/10 On both visits, the service was excellent—attentive, friendly, and professional. It became easily one of my favorite dining spots in the Bahamas. Can’t wait to...

The true test of any sushi restaurant is based on the judgement of their sashimi quality. And today, BASK failed. I have visited BASK a few times over the years and have had their sashimi which was a decent but lesser quality compared to other restaurants. Today’s fish selection for the sashimi had some good cuts of fish like soft salmon and fresh mackerel, however the other fish like the scallop and the hamachi were not fresh and tried to use lemon to hide an odd taste. This was very disappointing because the last time I had visited the restaurant a few months ago I believed that their sashimi and general fish quality was improving, however today showed this improvement was not consistent.

Furthermore, there were other concerning business practices such as being charged more for a tea than what was stated on the menu. I noticed a discrepancy between the price advertised on the menu and the price charged on my receipt. I ordered a tea, but on the receipt it was listed as a coffee that was more expensive than the tea. When brought to the waiter’s attention, they insisted that the tea was $6 despite their menu stating that the tea was $4.

While this is not a big price discrepancy, my trust and experience as a customer has...

Amazing food at very affordable pricing. Customer service was the reason for the rating. Met a couple of friends for lunch one day and the service was subpar. The waitress brought our food but never bothered to check on us otherwise throughout our meal. She forgot several of our menu items including taking food and drinks. She brought everything out at different times with a significant gap in between. Nearing the end of our meal, she came and brought the bill, no questions asked. We weren’t even done ordering and were planning to split the bill. Shortly after, the manager came over and informed us that we paid the wrong bill due to an error on the waitresses part and asked us to process another payment. We later learned that the waiting staff were all high school students working for their breaks. Though I love this idea of giving young people opportunities the managing staff should take the time to train them on what’s expected of them and also maybe ensure someone is supervising them so that they aren’t confused especially in such a fast paced environment. Seems a bit unfair to the kids and...

*First time dining experience- Sunday* Service: 4.5 - recovery: 5 - hospitable attitude from team members: 4 - our server (Nyeisha?): 4.5 ONLY because we slightly felt forgotten for a period but otherwise she was attentive, personable, helpful and proved to be a great resource in navigating the menu items Food: 4.5 - portions: 5 Drinks: 5 Ambiance: 5 Spicy Brussel sprouts- I will NEVER eat this but I ate it here lol and I like it- I LOVED IT once I covered them in the remaining chili sauce from my sister's gyoza as I hated my dipping sauce 🥰 Spicy tuna crispy 🍚- it looked horrible because I don't like raw food much but with our server prompting me that I should try it, I did and I'm glad I did. It was amazing❣ Canton noodles with chicken added was just okay- I could smell the flavor but it didn't translate to my tastebuds at all Bread pudding: 😍😍😍😍 absolutely amazing 👏 Drink specials Sundays and Mondays and we indulged and they have flavored lemonade and mojitos for non drinkers which was wonderful 🥳🥳 I'll definitely return and try the other items but as of now- I'm full! 🤣
