The Don Steakhouse — Restaurant in Bahrain Island

As a visitor from Germany eager to explore Bahrain’s culinary scene, I was excited to dine at The Done Steakhouse, especially after seeing glowing reviews on TikTok. With high expectations for a standout meal at one of Bahrain’s notable restaurants, I left feeling underwhelmed and frustrated. While the food was passable, the glaring issues with service overshadowed any positives, earning this establishment a modest 3 out of 5 from me. The food itself was average—nothing extraordinary to write home about. However, the real letdown was the service, which fell far short of what I’d expect from a restaurant with such a hyped reputation. Our waitress, while polite and friendly, seemed disengaged and passive, which set the tone for a series of missteps. Our order arrived incorrect—not only did they bring the wrong dishes, but the meat was cooked to an entirely different degree of doneness than requested. For a steakhouse, where precision in preparation is paramount, this was a significant misfire. What compounded the disappointment was the lack of accountability or initiative to rectify the situation. No solutions were offered, no replacements suggested—just a shrugging acceptance of the mistake that left us to make do with what we were given. For a dining experience that promised so much based on its online buzz, this was a baffling and unacceptable lapse in professionalism. Overall, my visit to The Done Steakhouse was a mediocre one, tainted by subpar service that failed to match the quality I’d been led to expect. The Don is a Bahraini Steakhouse with International Standards.

One of the best if not the BEST steakhouse in Bahrain that has both indoor and outdoor dining with beautiful highway views.

I was immediately greeted by Ms. Chealse and she was extremely professional, had excellent knowledge of the steaks and recommended us with the best suitable steak as per our preference, you won't find this type of service anywhere in Bahrain.

Once you enter the place, the beautiful anteler chandelier, the warm fire place, the beautifully designed interior and even the cutlery and plate is uninque and distinctive (all improted from Brazil).

All steaks came with sides and sauces: We tried Fries (Steakcut), Mashed potato, steamed Vegetables, mushroom sauce and chimmichuri sauce.

The wagyu Ribeye is the BEST ribeye steak in Bahrain (make sure you order it medium).

I also loved their Tomawhawk Steak.

Furthermore, their Buffalo Wings Bone in WAS OUR OF THIS WORLD.

My favourite choices: Spicy Shrimp, Buffalo Wings, Wagyu Beef Sliders, Wagyu Ribeye, Wagyu Tomahwak, Wagyu Striplion, Skewer Picanna, and the Molten Cake.

The quality of meat exceeded my expectations, although prices are a bit on the higher side BUT it is WORTH every penny paid as even their water is of high quality...

Unfortunately my steak experience was not great.

First of all the chairs they use is absolutely terrible, as soon as you want to rest your back you will notice that your back does not have any support since the back support of the chair is so low and made from hard wood. 2/10

The steak was a disaster, I've ordered the Wagyu Tomahawk 53BD (140$) with a side of fries, mushroom sauce and pepper sauce.

I asked for my steak to be cooked medium, and found out it was completely raw in the middle after reaching to the middle part, the mushroom sauce was one of the worst mushroom sauces i have ever tried in my life, the pepper sauce was even worse and it was impossible to eat with such a weird taste, fries were not that good as well and had a weird texture when eating them. 3.5/10

The ketchup is so bad that i thought it was expired but then realized that it was an off brand cheap thing they use. 1/10

The chicken wings were very good, juicy, tasty and tangy 7.5/10

The ceasar salad was also good, fresh and light dressing but I think the Parmesan cheese used is that stuff from the bottle 7/10.

The Heaven Chicken was not bad, crispy crust and nice filling 7/10.

No one came to us and asked how was the food or if we had any feedback, even when I told the waiter at the end that look at the steak it is completely raw in the middle she just said "ohh sorry yeah it's raw" and was just waiting for the check to be settled.

My total check was 75 BD (200$) and was totally not worth it based on the steak experience, comfortability, and not feeling that I was valued...
