Their food is nowhere nearly the same as they show on their social media handles and describe on their menu card. Their menu card is well written by a good content writer. You will feel the urge to taste some of their food just by reading the menu card.
But, the food that will come after will disappoint you. Every food I ordered was just regular foods that could have been found in any regular restaurants. The cooking was average. Several key ingredients that they mentioned in the menu card was missing on the food that came. It was not even looking like the same dish.
The washroom is also almost unusable. It is difficult to wash your hands properly as water is almost dipping from the basin pipe.
The ambience and environment of the outdoor is amazing, heavenly. It can compete for the best sea side view restaurant in the country. It was very hot outside when we visited the place. They let me enjoy the hammock and relax there for about an hour. So, thumbs up for that

I had high hopes for this restaurant based on their social media presence and the enticing descriptions on their menu. The menu is beautifully crafted, showcasing a variety of dishes that make your mouth water just by reading them. However, the reality of the food fell short of these expectations.
Unfortunately, the dishes I ordered were quite ordinary and could easily be found at any typical restaurant. The cooking was average at best, and several key ingredients highlighted in the menu were missing from the actual dishes. To my disappointment, what arrived at my table bore little resemblance to what was promised.
Additionally, I encountered issues with the washroom facilities. The sink was almost unusable, with water dripping from the basin pipe, making it difficult to wash my hands properly.
On a brighter note, the outdoor ambiance is truly remarkable. The seaside view is breathtaking and could easily rival some of the best coastal restaurants in the country. Despite the heat during my visit, I was able to relax in a hammock for about an hour, which was a delightful experience. So, while there were some significant drawbacks, I do appreciate the beautiful...
Read moreI think Palongki Restaurant in Inani, Cox’s Bazar is nothing but hype.
Recently, I visited Palongki Restaurant in Inani, Cox’s Bazar after hearing so much promotion about it, but honestly, the experience was quite disappointing.
Ambience: The location is undeniably beautiful — being close to the beach creates a relaxing atmosphere. However, when it comes to cleanliness, the place really falls short. There are two seating options — indoor and outdoor. Inside, there was a bad smell which my child couldn’t tolerate at all, and eventually, he ended up vomiting. The handwashing area was very dirty, which is quite unpleasant for a restaurant known as a “premium spot.”
Food: One of the most disappointing parts was the food. I ordered Loitta Shutki Bhuna (dry fish curry), but the taste was absolutely terrible. I also ordered Beef Kala Bhuna, which felt like a very small portion, yet the price was high — something I found unfair, especially considering the portion size. The taste was average, nothing extraordinary, and certainly not worth the price. Overall, the food did not match the hype, and the portions and quality felt overpriced.
The only thing I somewhat enjoyed was their Rabri Jalebi. It was crunchy and sweet, but still just average in my opinion.
Service: The staff were polite, and the food was served very quickly — that’s one good thing I can say.
Overall: In my opinion, Palongki is more about marketing than actual quality. Cleanliness, food quality, and pricing did not meet my expectations. If you go only for the view or just to say you’ve been there, maybe it’s worth visiting once. But if you’re looking for good food and a satisfying dining experience, there are many better options in Cox’s Bazar.
Rating:
Food: 2/5 (mainly due to small portions and high price)
Ambience: 3/5 (only for the beach view)
Cleanliness: 1/5 (since my child ended up vomiting)

Read moreThis is a purely over hyped over priced restaurant with very average food. I spent around 2.5k for 2 people's food and I am very disappointed by the quality and taste. I saw so many reviews from food bloggers and other places so naturally my expectations were high. But compared to the absurd price the food was not up to the standard at all. If you're into spicy foods like me then you should definitely avoid this place. I asked them to recommend their spiciest item and I was disappointed with that as well.
I took -
Daab Chingri - 850 tk - I am confused about the taste of this item as it was sweet and I didn't enjoy it too much. Definitely not worth the price. They provide 3 pc shrimp and the price is too much for the quantity.
Ilish Paturi - 550tk - The taste was nice. But nothing out of the world. Definitely not worth the price.
Loitta Fry - around 450tk - This item disappointed me the most. I really expected a good loitta fry but I was heavily disappointed. Not worth the price at all.
Shutki Bhuna - around 150 tk - Only item I liked. And the only item close to my spicy preference.
Loitta shutki bhorta - around 150tk - this was also good but not spicy at all. I expect bhortas to be spicy.
Piyaj Morich bhorta - forgot the price - this was supposed to be their spiciest item but I definitely didn't feel like it at all. Took this item just to increase the spice level of all the food. I literally couldn't finish the rest of the items.
Maybe the food didn't suit my taste. But I felt the price was way too much. I am a very foodie type of person. So, I explore different types of cuisine so trust me when I say this - the food is not worth the money at all. If you're just going there to give it a try then keep a low expectation that'll be better...
