Panshi Restaurant in Sylhet is one of the most iconic and beloved dining spots in the city, well-known for its authentic Bangladeshi cuisine and vibrant atmosphere. Located in the heart of Zindabazar, it has earned a strong reputation among both locals and tourists for offering delicious food at reasonable prices.
The menu is extensive, featuring a variety of traditional dishes such as Beef Shatkora, Chicken Khichuri, Prawn Curry, and Mutton Korma. Each dish is rich in flavor, cooked with traditional spices, and served in generous portions. The Shatkora Beef, in particular, is a standout – tender meat perfectly balanced with the citrusy tang of the regional shatkora fruit. Their Faluda and Borhani are great complementary treats that add to the overall dining experience.
One of the strengths of Panshi is its ability to handle large crowds while maintaining quality and service. Despite being almost always busy, the staff is efficient, friendly, and attentive. Food is typically served quickly, and the team manages the rush with impressive coordination. The restaurant also offers various seating options, including air-conditioned areas and family-friendly cabins, making it comfortable for different types of visitors.
Cleanliness and ambience are well-maintained, especially considering the high customer volume. Tables are cleaned promptly, and the dining area has a casual but lively charm that reflects the local culture. The prices are very affordable, making Panshi an excellent value for money.
