I feel bad to write a this review because the host was very kind and friendly, and that is why I'm not giving 1 star. Short story, the food is really bad, like fuel station bad. Maybe if I had no expectations I wouldn't be so disappointed but 600 people giving 4.7 stars raised my expectations abs I was excited for the experience that I was about to have. Unfortunately as soon as we got there we started doubting the reviews, the place was showing no charm nor identity. But the worst experience came from the food, it was really bad, like you don't believe it. Poor quality ingredients with a terrible execution. We came here three times while on holiday. Every time the food was delicious. They give you a tapas with your drink, which is a nice touch. The tapas we had were all Very flavoursome and consisted of grilled sardine, chicken skewers, pork fillet and langoustines. From the main menu we had the amazing Gambas pil pil and bacalao (deep fried cod). This is an authentic place which is popular with the local residents and that's usually a good sign. This place is fantastic! I wish we had found it earlier in our visit. The prices are very reasonable, the food is excellent, and the portions are generous. They have an excellent variety of tapas (including sardines and other seafood), and a tapa is included with each drink. We have been here numerous times and are having lunch right now. It is definitely worth the walk from Torrox Costa. The langostinas al pil-pil, pata de pulpo, and ensalada de pimento are all excellent and are the only dishes we have ordered so far, but we still have more time to try others.
