't Zonneke — Restaurant in De Panne

Away from the promenade, this beautiful, clean restaurant offers a calm & friendly vibe. The hostess and staff speak multiple languages, are accommodating, patient & friendly and very good with children too. We dined in, selecting the lasagna & scampi pasta, which arrived in record time & were excellent portion sizes. Fresh ingredients made for very tasty meals. Our neighbouring table ordered the mushroom toast, which was plated beautifully and looked filling.

While there were available tables, we’d recommend booking ahead if dining after 18:30 in the summer months, as it got busy around that time (we visited at end of Aug). Without even having the chance to enter and look at the menu the waitress (owner?) was very rude by giving us the choice or you eat, or you leave on really rude manner. Very contradictory with the name of the tearoom which reflects happiness and kindness. So please change your name...

Accueil catastrophique et patronne qui déteste les français , j’attend 10mn pour que le serveur prenne la commande, je finis par rentrer dans le restaurant pour commander et je tombe sur la patronne qui me dis : « tu vas attendre » 10mn après le serveur arrive avec la bière et me demande de payer en cash; je lui répond que je n’ai que ma carte bleu et je propose d’aller chercher de l’espece. 5 mn après la patronne vient me prendre la bière des mains et me dis « c’est du du cash ici! » je réitère ma proposition et lui demande à partir de combien on peut payer en cb, elle me répond : 50€; je lui indique que j’appelle ma femme et que nous allons déjeuner. Elle prend la bière et me dit «  pas de cash...
