MaReine — Restaurant in Deinze

Nice welcome when we arrived at the time of our reservation, we got to choose between inside or outside. We choose outside, something we came to regret.

When we sat outside for 10 minutes or so, some other people came outside as well. No problem for us, as there was still plenty of room. Suddenly they both started smoking only a table away from us. 15 minutes another couple arrived and started smoking as well. We didn't complain because we were not in the mood to be the annoying people. But it is safe to say that our dinner was not as romantic as before. More then once we were clearly in the smoke of the customers smoking, which ruined the taste of our food. So if you don't smoke, make sure you don't come here if you want to sit outside.

Which should be more important, was now less important: The food was really nice, but it was rather expensive. We paid 21 euros for 2 croquettes, which if you do the calculations is a lot. We paid 10 euros for a small glass mocktail, which shouldn't be that much.

Besides the smoking, we would have happily paid for it. But the smoking ruined our experience completely. Not really the fault of the restaurant, but they also clearly didn't do anything to...

Een paar jaar terug het afhaalmenu met oudejaar besteld. Was toen al tip-top. Maar de ervaring deze avond was fantastisch.

Eten bij MaReine is thuiskomen. De sfeer is los en warm maar het personeel heeft miniscuul oog voor détail. Beleefd, verzorgd, joviaal en dit alles in een uniek kader. Ik betrapte mezelf en mijn vriendin er op dat wa na het zien van de kom vers geschilde frietjes spontaan onze herinneringen aan onze grootouders bovenhaalden.

Bovenop deze topsfeer dansen je smaakpapillen van begin tot einde in het rond. Echt genieten! No nonense. We komen...

Op een avond waar we iets zochten om gezellig te gaan eten, dachten we ineens aan het restaurant “om de hoek” waar we eigenlijk nog nooit waren gaan eten. En de ervaring was enorm positief en boven alle verwachtingen. Het kader was heel gezellig en de zaak was verassend groter dan het lijkt aan de buitenkant. De bediening was heel vriendelijk, vlot, en steeds met de glimlach. En het eten? Dat was heerlijk. Echt een ontdekking in onze eigen stad. Een aanrader! Hier komen we zeker terug! Eerder zonde dat we deze parel niet eerder ontdekt hebben....
