We cannot fault the level of cuisine, variety and taste. The chef clearly deserves his 1* Michelin and 16/20 Gault rating. The mix of tastes throughout both the 4 course and 5 course menus is a delight. Price rating is as one would expect on the high side but par with the ratings. Drinks are also par with expectations, although frankly charging more than once for water, that is filtered is not done and definitely not seen elsewhere (one time is fine).|The breakfast is lovely, with fruit, eggs, plenty of bread and excellent, as well as very fine meats. The service lady was also super friendly and always helpful.||I hesitated to drop another point simply due to the frankly awful service and welcome by the sommelier. I still give it 4/5 simply as the food is wonderful and that is the experience, no doubt, people come for...|The service and attitude of the gentleman concerned. is a complete contrast to the rest of the staff. But not welcoming guests with a smile or even a hello, is unacceptable at this level. Not a word to welcome guests, or exchange the minimum pleasantries, especially given we were staying 2 nights, when the av is 1n for sure, even begs the question whether he should be there. In addition, choice of wines was ok, but lacking in breadth and price/quality was either mediocre or too high.|The rooms are ok, but showers flood into the room, the noise is poor as right above the kitchens and dining area, so very badly isolated.
