I stayed on the premises several days, and prolonged my stay and changed of rooms. At start the service was kind and considerate by the staff on site. The rooms were old but correct, and clean. The libanese restaurant is good. The location is perfect and closed to the Parc of the Baron d'Empain. The breakfast is not up to the value given to a 4-Star Hotel (no fresh juice, no egg cooker, 'basic' tea bags). At the end, I was in a room with dead insects and spiders (so unclean) in the room and a broken bathroom with drain smell from the entry of the bedroom to the bathroom.... (Happy to provide a video to show the room state). The reaction from the Staff Head has been heavily disrespectful, and became impolite when complaining about the room, up to address me with "My Petite Fille" as a well grown-up experienced professional woman, plus starting to intrude my privacy with improper comments, then to be rude, and last to refuse to change the room. He refused to explain his improper and impolite behaviours. He further went on to say he does whatever he wants in his hotel, and would not allow me to come back. The response was totally in disconnect with the service level expected in such a Hotel. I simply do not recommend it, and would qualify for 2-Star given the uncleaness of the room and inacceptable behaviours from the...

PROs: Location is pleasant, somehow remote from the traffic with a lot of green around you. The hotel is made from a former inn, I think, with some annexes, large terrace, quite unique. The staff is quite attentive, always smiling (rare feature nowadays) can handle with foreigners as well. Room is bigger than average and clean, with nice view to the inside terrace, big bed with a good mattress and pillows, decent bathroom, fitted with everything for you to have a pleasant stay. Restaurant has a big variety of food to choose from and from time to time, I think, it has a specific cuisine to choose from.

CONs: The hotel is more on the expensive side for what it has to offer. The room is placed like motel style (outside entrance), with thermopane doors (unpleasant esthetics), has no balconies (although not a big issue for me), no central air conditioning (not sure if the temperature from that area requires such feature). There are worn signs present. The restaurant is as the hotel, more expensive than expected and not reflected in portion sizes of food quality.

Overall I recommend the hotel because there are no better options...

We managed to get a table ex temporary for Easter Monday lunch and had a very nice four mezze + brochette combination for 19,90€. Very tasty Lebanese food and pleasant service. A nice glass of good quality rosé wine was 4,60€ so you are not ruined. We truly enjoyed our tasty lunch.
