Rocket's Specialty Coffee — Restaurant in Forest - Vorst

Today was the third time I entered this place. First time I visited with a friend. The cake was nice, the coffee good. A couple of days later I passed with my husband and kids, we had a quick coffee while our kids could play, they loved it, of course. Today I got some groceries done with two four year olds. I just wanted to grab a quick cappucino...while they got to play for a couple of minutes. But I got sent away: the bartender, or owner ( I could not tell), didn't want to serve me just the coffee. 'The concept, Madame, is that kids too consume.' I am not sure what is so childfriendly about this spirit. (There were only three tables with costumers inside.) (The other day the waitresses did not mention anything like this, just the two of us having a coffee..) I do feel like they are looking for a certain kind of public. Pour les bobos quoi, pas pour les restes...

A cute, colorful and cozy cafe. Perfect to do some creative writing, work on your laptop or meet up with someone for a chill moment in a very nicely decorated setting. They have all the essentials cafe drinks, pastries and fruit smoothies. The smoothies however taste quite simple. There is nothing unique about their menu that makes their menu stand out flavor wise from the other places in this neighborhood, in other words, everything tastes normal. Not bad but just not memorable. It’s very much its interior decors that makes it stand out from the others. That and their very friendly staff. I found everyone very attentive and kind during my visit. The only thing I personally don’t like is that that there is that upstairs area is for kids meaning that if you happen to go there on a day and time where families are there with kids, you can forget about peace...

Their coffee wasn’t what I expected from a specialty coffee shop.

The owner was moody and unnecessary grumpy towards me which I found kind of awkward if I am being honest.

And most of all, there is an inside playground for children so all the toys are all over the shop and since the place is pretty small it becomes very very loud, the kids laughing, crying , running or doing other kid things, and the parents loudly screaming at them from the other end of the shop.

Maybe it’s because I went on the weekend but oh God, I am definitely not going back. Thank...
