Zorba — Restaurant in Gedinne

Came here with 3 friends for dinner. The atmosphere is nice and the staff is very friendly -- clearly family-run and with plenty of locals. However, we were disappointed by the meals. Two of us had the vegetarian plate (one of the few if not only vegetarian option), which was a couple of potato fries, some pasta without sauce, a cabbage salad and a regular salad. It was not a satisfying meal, especially not considering it cost €20. The two others had beef and fish, and also were left unsatisfied, especially with both meals costing €25. €10-€15 felt like a more appropriate price...

The host is amazing, the service is good and fast and the food is DELICIOUS. Trust me when I tell you you could wake me up in the middle of the night to go here and I'd be happy to. The inside of this restaurant looks pretty, the host is super friendly and helps even when your french is terrible, the food is great (and great for value!) and we definitely recommend the different liqueurs, especially the coconut one. The owners were very attentive and humorous! The taramasalasa wasn't firm as I would have expected and was served with thin slices of bread. I took the Youvetsi, which was tasty, although the portion was on the small side. This was compensated by a strange mix of 8 large fries, a small portion of cream potatoes and a salad. I've not seen this concoction before. For one person I paid €40, which included coffee, desert and a soft drink.
