During my visit to Geel, Belgium, I stumbled upon a charming restaurant that left a lasting impression. The fact that it opened early for lunch was incredibly convenient, allowing us to start our day with a satisfying meal. However, upon returning in the afternoon, we found the place bustling with activity, indicating its popularity among locals and visitors alike.

Located in the heart of the town's main square, the restaurant boasted a prime location. As we indulged in our delicious meal, we could hear the enchanting sound of the nearby church bells, adding a touch of romance to our dining experience.

One aspect that caught my attention was the effect of inflation on local prices. While the food was undeniably delicious, I found it to be slightly on the expensive side. However, the quality of the dishes made it a worthwhile indulgence.

I opted for the vegan hamburger, which was a delightful surprise. Its flavors were rich and satisfying, demonstrating the chef's talent for crafting delectable plant-based options. We luckily ended up eating here after attempting to eat at their neighboring restaurant Caro’s but we left because we didn’t get any attention or service there and here at Volt it’s the complete opposite. Volt has smiles, great customer service, very helpful with menu and most importantly the food stood the test. The seafood was so fresh, pasta was delectable and sauces were made in house, even the chef came out to help explain the recipe and ingredients. Hands down the best place to dine out, in Geel. Friendly atmosphere, great and caring staff lead by Jan make this place truly enjoyable. Whether you are on a look out for local staple dishes like Vol-au-vent, want to deep dive into Asian cuisine or stick to delicious Italian classics, Volt is the place for you!
